Pensiunea Apfelhaus — Hotel in Cisnădie

This restaurant is the absolute pure example of showing up and leaving, because of their 'amazing services'. We showed up with a reservation and when we were choosing where to sit, we went to sit inside as there were 2 noisy groups outdoors. At first site, it was a decent restaurant nothing special or new, other than the huge event happening that ruined the peace you could have during your meal, by wreaking pure noisy havoc. After some misunderstandings with a waiter that only understood what his boss told him, we were moved to a different area at the property, where there was no one around and we could browse around the menu. After around 3-4 minutes, we were expecting a waiter to come and at least ask for our drinks, but instead all waiters were ignoring us and gossiping in the kitchen. Parking was also a disaster, and the property is dirty and not properly managed. With an additional useless 10 minute wait to top off this horribke experience! Safe to say we left hungry, annoyed, and planning to advise no one and ourselves to never...

We had mixed feelings about our stay. We had high expectations based on the reviews, but our expérience didn’t live up to them.

The place: the guest house is big, with a spacious courtyard full of Apple trees, a generous terrace and space for children to play and run around

The rooms: could use some maintenance, they look cheap and not well maintained. The water in the plumbings felt dirty, left an oily sensation on the skin after washing, the toilettes don’t flush properly, not each room has air conditioning, but the price is the same.

Food: the food from the restaurant is very good, and the best options you can find in cisnadioara. Breakfast however was dissapointing, diverse but the quality of the products was not good ( deli meat from the supermarket, sliced cheese, etc.)

Service: waiters were really kind and professional, but the lady (owner ?) was rude to us, imposing, asked for payment upfront on the first day of stay, increased the price just a few days...

I do not recommend. The accommodation was terrible. The rooms are small, without a cabinet or other space where you can put your clothes. Between the bed and walls is little space, it is impossible not to hit you. The squeaking noise of the doors and the floors was one reason for bad sleep of me and my children which were awakened whenever someone used a door. The beds were very uncomfortable. The bathroom served 3 families and was located in the hallway. The price negotiated before booking had to be renecociated and the exchange rate used for billing was established without being able to tell us what is the rule but for sure was not related to the official course. The breakfast was every day the same and the rest of the meals were satisfactory. The children's playground is full of dangers, pits, missing chunks, broken ladder, etc. I will not go or...
