Hotel Florentina — Hotel in Constanta Metropolitan Area

We had an early departure by train planned and needed an hotel that was close by. The Florentina fitted the bill perfectly and it took us only minutes to cycle from the hotel to the station. ||||The downside to this location is that you are in one of the older areas of this large town / city and not in a convenient position for restaurants, bars and the beach, all of which are some distance away.||||Or room was on the third floor which was fine apart from the fact they have not got a lift or anyone to help with luggage. When we opened the door to our room we were hit by a very strong smell of stale cigarette smoke. Worth checking the status of your room if you are a non smoker.||||A final twist. When it was time to get some sleep we discovered there was no bedding and had to raid the wardrobe for blankets / sheets. The room was quiet and what bedding there was, was clean.||||Positives. Breakfast was good and included cereal and orange juice. Staff on reception were very helpful and found us somwhere to store our bikes. Nu recomand. Acum o luna am facut rezervare la acest hotel pe Travelminit. De indata ce rezervarea a fost plasată in pagina Travelminit am primit un telefon de la o angajată a hotelului care ne-a recomandat sa anulam comanda din pagină si sa o facem direct prin telefon ca este mult mai simplu de gestionat. (Banuiesc ca e vorba de comisioane, perioada de asteptare pt tranzactii...etc). In fine...am acceptat sa facem rezervarea prin telefon. Ieri, ajungand la recepția hotelului, surpriză. Rezervarea noastra nu apărea nicaieri in sistemul lor si evident, camera pe care am rezervat-o era ocupată. Partea amuzantă e ca cea care era la receptie in momentul in care noi am ajuns, pe numele ei Alina (foarte încântați de cunoștință), ne-a spus ca sigur e o greșeală făcută de una dintre colegele ei, Sheila, Andreea sau Ștefania. A decis sa o sune pe Sheila, dar aceasta s-a spălat repede pe mâini spunând ca e imposibil sa fi gresit ea...deoarece își aduce aminte toate numerele de telefon ale clienților cu care vorbeste. Am ramas usor uimit in fața acestei informații si vreau sa o felicit pe Sheila pt capacitatea ei mintală si aptitudinile ei in ceea ce priveste memoria. Dupa cateva minute de cautare prin apelurile telefonice am gasit data concretă in care am fost sunați de catre angajata hotelului pt a face rezervarea direct. 25 iunie. Dată in care in tură se afla Andreea, după spusele Alinei. I.am cerut Alinei sa o sune pe Andreea dar această cu o ușoară urma de nesimțire mi-a spus ca va vorbi cu Alina cand aceasta v-a intra in tură. (Adică la ora 20:00). Am decis sa o lăsăm baltă si sa ne îndreptăm spre casă. In momentul de față mi se pare amuzant. Dar dupa un sejur de vreo 1000+ km intr-o țară străină in care am avut trei cazari diferite (fara nicio problemă), sa ajungi acasă, in țara ta ca sa dai de mizerii de genul asta, e...

The place is located near the railway station. The room is clean but you can find some cockroaches walking around... Excellent breakfast recompensates the presence of cockroaches though. There is almost everything you can imagine to eat for the breakfast - boiled and scrambled eggs, ham, sausages, bread, tomatoes, sauces etc. The amout of the food was very satisfying and you could leave the dining room with full stomach.
