Maria Hotel — Hotel in Constanta Metropolitan Area

I am a local who's now an expat. I knew this hotel from the outside for many many years but I had no idea it offers such good services for the price you pay. The room very clean, there's everything you might need (except pressing iron - which you can just ask for and they'll bring it for you), they have laundry services (indispensable in the summer time when you're staying for more than a couple of days), breakfast has something for everyone and the staff is very helpful and friendly. I also had dinner once in the hotel restaurant and it was delicious. The only minuses I could notice were, indeed, an unfortunately small elevator and the shower pressure. |Without meaning to brag, I've been around my fair share of hotels around the world and this one was better than many from which one would have higher expectations, given their brand name. I went there with my family and my little boy for a couple of days. We've rented an apartment there which was more suitable for our needs. The rooms were very clean and the staff is attentive. The hotel has two sides. One is rated with 3 stars and the other is rated with 4 stars. We've stayed at the 3 stars one. The breakfast is included in the price and we find it very good with a variety of things from cereals and fruit salad to boiled eggs, bacon, sausages, tea,coffee and so on. The hotel is placed very near to the train station and from there it is very easy to take busses to go and explore the place. I would definitely go and stay there again and i would recommend this place...

We stayed five nights in a superior double with twin beds.||First the good parts: reasonable location, fair/good breakfast and good beds.||Then what made us leave the hotel in advance:|The cleaning and the unwillingness of the staff/management to compensate for the inconvenience. Reasonable hotels give a free night after paying for ten. I asked to get a free night after nine paid superior room nights, as compensation, and got refused.
