UPDATE: I just want to update that I added a star. The hotel staff (receptionist and cleaning ladies) were all very kind. The room is clean, despite the old smell of the furniture. Also we found robes & slippers in the closet. On our second day before checking out they did serve a nice breakfast as it was a Monday, they just do not serve breakfast on the weekend only because of being short staffed. However the breakfast during the week was very good.
This hotel is straight from 1999. I don’t know in what world this is considered 4 stars. I have traveled all over Romania and all over the world in Europe, America, and Asia. This hotel is maybe 2 stars max and that is pushing it.
For starters, there are NO amenities. What type of 4 star hotel provides no coffee maker in the room? Also no complimentary water offered in the room, which 4 star hotels always offer. Very very basic bathroom soap. Also, it is incredibly outdated. The furniture is old, the WiFi does not work, the AC is very old and barely blows out air, the 2 TVs in the “suite” share the same remote control and it only works if you stand right in front of the TV less than a meter away. No blanket on the bed, just a thin sheet. There is a very old blanket in the closet that smells like dust and probably has never been washed. There are cracks in the walls and ceiling. The plumbing in the bathroom does not look professional and it smells terrible. As soon as we walked in the room, it smelled OLD and like sewage from the bathroom pipes. Also, online it shows this hotel as having breakfast, when I called to ask what time breakfast is they said that “they decided they will not serve breakfast this weekend.” We asked to cancel 1 out of our 2 nights and to only stay and pay for the first night. They refused. There are much cheaper apartments that are modern in this area. I strongly do not recommend staying here, unless you have nostalgia for 1999 and enjoy outdated hotels. To charge these type of prices for this hotel is outrageous. The only positive I can think of is location is easily accessible and close to the new mall and has parking. However the majority of hotels and even private apartments available for rent offer parking in this area. 100% do...

Read moreAwful experience! We stayed in the hotel last week when visiting the Christmas market. The only positive thing was the location of the hotel. 1.when we were checking in, the older person at the reception, was shouting at us. Like if we were not paying costumers anf he was not working as a receptionist who needs to repeat the same information about breakfast hours and wifi password over and over again. Very rude. 2.the rooms are very, very outdated and the carpet is absolutely disgusting. 3.the air cons were not working. It was during winter and they were blowing cold air. Three house keepers!!! (very rude ladies who entered my toom with threir card key, withou knocking and started pulling out the sheets and pillows to check if we indded did not have enough duvets), tried to fix them but did not succeed. 4.the beds are ridiculously small, the matresses are old and we did not have enough covers/duvets for everyone in the group. We were told that the duvets were "sold out" - whatever that means for a hotel!!! Some ppl from our group had to sleep covered with towels. 5.the third bed in the triple room was a travel bed with no matress. They expected grown up prople to sleep on those beds. 6.they threw out some food that we bought from the Christmas market and left on the table in the room. When i called the reception , they said they cannot do anything about it. I never expected them to dig the food from the garbage and bring it back to me, but a simple apology is expected. I do not recommend the hotel..Craiova is a touristic town, please find another accommodation when...
