Marras Dubova — Hotel in Dubova

Review in English also for any further use.

We stay as family 2 x nights in the Marras Resort Dubova Danube river golf (entry of the Danube in Romania) in two different rooms as per services & cost :

One couple room (the room no. C4 on the location) with direct view to Danube , price 350 RON (70 EUR) / night

One big (double) room as beds (the room no. B1 on the location) with a shared exit and view to Danube Gorge, price 500 RON (100 EUR) / night

From the beginning I precise that we have travel as a family ( 3 x adults and 3 x kids with ages below 9Years) and we were not a family looking for luxury services.

Pro's / Strong Points ("+") : Gorgeous location, with a lot of objectives to visit on foot (mountains walks/travel roads) or with small boats (traval guide very nice with great info's) AC available on each rooms, and availability of modern bathroom parts/equipements. Fresh & OK air/smeels in the rooms and bathrooms during our visit

Con's / Bad Points ("-") - check the attached photos : the price per rooms are in general highest vs services offered by the rooms/location. Why? : Actually there are TV's in the rools without cable signal or complete not working, the wi-fi internet services provided by location is low and limited, on bathrooms are a lot of basic elements missing (e.g. divers supports required for the towels or other bathroom basic things, some lighting elements not working ... in general appearing like being there in the room just for the view but not working.

NO Restaurant, no chief available in this location and therefore only a small & simple breakfast offered by the location.

location swimming pool wan unfortunately was not clean and the color and density was as per Danube river : green & dirty, and no solution found/done by the location.

for both issues : no restaurant service and no great swimming pool , we chose to go on the closer neighbors location (Mirific) and great services there and quality!

lack of location Communication/Transparence direct/indirect about the current & real available services on the location, we arrived there and there was a big stop of water distribution = If we have being informed , we have took on the the way some water for us and the kids : for a simple refresh, etc.

divers location fixes done only to be done but not professional and visible as NOK (check photos)

Conclusion : For me and my family is a location to avoid in the future if there will be no change on the services , room and location quality (restaurant/swimming pool/rooms)

Thank You and unfortunately even a lot of investment is visible there in this big Marras Resort location seems like basic services & quality have been forgotten.

Important Note for the Location Management : If you really want to bring the Romanian tourism and next level as other closer country's (e.g. Bulgary / Greece), please keep in mind and act on the Negative Reviews by improving the basic services for the future and avoid having clients only for one time in their life...

Beautiful location and even better hosts/owners. They went above and beyond for us, solving our every problem with a smile and at any time of the day. The resort is still under work but that didn’t take anything away from our experience. Special mention to Isabela for making pizza for us that was not only all made in house and delicious, but also made at a time when all the other kitchens around were closed. Also thanks to Alina for helping us organise our boat ride and quad bike ride and for being so lovely and attentive. Finally, thanks to all the staff/family who were always friendly, had smiles on their faces and truly cared for their customers. Highlights: location, availability of staff, atmosphere. The only disadvantage I can think of is that the Danube is quite dirty in that area (completely out of control of the owners) so not great for fishing if that’s your thing but we did catch a few fish still. Sejur 2 x nopti in locatia Marras Resort din Golful Dunarii.

Cazare in 2 x camere complet diferite dpdv pret/noapte dar si ca servicii :

1 x camera matrimoniala (camera C4 in locatie ca numar) cu vedere/iesire directa catre Dunare / ponton , pret 350RON/noapte 1 x camera dubla dpdv suprafata si paturi (camera B1 in locatie ca numar) cu terasa la comun si iesire catre laterala locatie , vedere la Dunare, pret 500 RON/noapte.

De la bun inceput precizez ca nu sunt un pretentios dpdv conditii dar in acest sejur am calatorit 3 x adulti si 3 x copilasi (cu varste pana in 9 ani).

Puncte Forte ("+") :

locatie de vis, cu atat de multe obiective de vizitat atat cu barcute + ghid cat si dpdv trasee montane AC / Aer Conditionat in fiecare camera si elemente sanitare moderne Aer/Miros la baie OK in perioada respectiva

Puncte Slabe ("-") - a se revedea in pozele atasate : pret destul de ridicat fata de serviciile oferite in camera, de exemplu lipsa semnal TV in camera, lipsa semnal de internet/wi-fi suficient dpdv acoperire sau TV-uri nefunctionale total, lipsa suport/i la baie pentru prosoape, multe echipamente sanitare nereparate si la vedere), echipamente de iluminat nefunctionale.

lipsa unui bucatar profesionist in locatie si implicit lipsa de servire in regim de restaurant sau bufet suedez (doar mic dejun inclus si acela foarte slabut)

piscina din locatie a fost pe toata durata sederii noastre de o culoare verde (specific Dunarii), familia mea evitand astfel utilizarea ei si la recomandarea gazdelor am mers intr-o locatie alaturata atat pentru piscina cat si pentru .. restaurant.

lipsa de comunicare, transparenta a serviciilor/lipsurilor generate direct sau indirect.

reperatii de mantuiala sau de fatada in camere (vopsea direct peste crapaturi, sau usa la baie care nu se inchide datorita instalarii gresite)

In concluzie : Pentru mine si familia mea este o locatie de evitat pe viitor atata timp cat cei care gestioneaza aceasta locatie se gandesc doar la profitul realizat cu clienti noi si de moment , fara a investi in bucatarie/restaurant/servicii/conditii.

Va multumesc si pacat ca s-o investit masiv in locatia respectiv dar serviciile minimale fac diferenta intre un loc primitor (in care doresti sa revii) si unul pe care doresti sa-l eviti!

Nota : Daca dorim sa duceti turismul romanesc la alte nivel, va rugam tineti cont de recenziile negative si incercati sa corectati deficientele pentru viitor.
