The hotel is currently called Pensiune Cerhana Bliss (the name doesn’t seem to be updated on TripAdvisor, so that might get confusing). |My family and I (2 children) stayed here for 2 nights in order to see the Iron Gates on the Danube. We reserved on the phone with Robert the family room. ||Hotel Room: The family room consists of 1 bunk bed next to a bed for the parents. It was a bit of a tight squeeze but we managed. The kids loved the bunk bed. It seems like none of the family rooms have a front facing balcony- only a side balcony. So keep that in mind. If you want a front facing balcony, you’d have to ask for that specifically, and not get a room with a bunk bed. Each night, including breakfast, was about 400 lei, including VAT. The bathroom is a bit small but fine. The shower had hot water which was good. ||View: The view at breakfast is stunning. It’s simply breathtaking. The hotel has a wide veranda with covered outdoor tables. We spent one whole day on the veranda, doing crafts and admiring the view because we saw no reason to leave that relaxing view. ||Food: Breakfast on the weekends has more foods than breakfast on the weekdays. The hotel has Julius Meinl coffees and teas which is nice. There were eggs, deli meats, cheeses, olives, white bread, jam, honey, fresh vegetables and on the weekends there was a nice fried zucchini fritter type of dish that wasn’t offered on the weekday. |We ate lunch at the hotel once, and it was fine but I wouldn’t recommend. The pork bliss didn’t sit well with my digestive system, and the papanasi we ordered for dessert was hard and definitely not fresh. My children ate the chicken bliss and they seemed to be fine, so I would simply avoid the pork bliss. ||Service: The hotel staff is kind, but very relaxed, so bear that in mind. |If you want housekeeping, then you must find the gold hanging card and hang it outside of your door. ||Parking: Parking is in front of the hotel. ||Hotel grounds: The hotel offers a 1 hour boat ride (on the standard Danube motorboat) to see the famous sights for about 70 lei per adult. We had already booked with another company, so I didn’t take the hotel up on this offer, but the prices all seemed roughly the same. The hotel has a boat pick everyone up who is interested at 10:00 AM at the hotel dock and drops you back off at the hotel dock around 11:15 AM. My children loved admiring the 2 swans swimming along the Danube and sitting at the outdoor...

The staff was very welcoming and very attentive. My wife was wondering where she would find it in the area a cuttlefish soup for our boy. The cuttlefish soup prepared there was excellent. Hier, le 16 juin 2023, nous avons visité la guesthouse Bliss sur la recommandation du guide en bateau situé dans la zone de la statue de Decebal. Nous étions dans le coin pour la première fois. Le personnel était très accueillant et très attentionné. Ma femme se demandait où elle allait trouver dans le coin une soupe de seiche pour notre garçon. La soupe de seiche préparée là-bas a été excellente. Ma femme était ravie. De plus, la carpe carassin frite était délicieuse (plus polenta et sauce à l'ail); Nous avons tous été ravis de la beauté du lieu - mon fils était très hereux; Je recommanderai chaleureusement cette maison d'hôtes à mes collègues aux Pays-Bas lors de mon retour au bureau. Félicitations à l'équipe du 16 juin - du serveur qui a été gentil et a pris nos photos de famille aux cuisiniers qui ont travaillé pour un délicieux repas; 5 étoiles de notre part et nous reviendrons avec plaisir;
Mijn vrouw was verrukt.
Read moreI have some stuff to say. Starting with the rooms and staff: Rooms were spacious and well arranged with a mini fridge (which I really appreciate) and everything was really clean. Friendly staff and all but later you'll read about something I hated. The food/restaurant: Food was bad, just bad, it tased weird and funky. But the wait time and prices were outrageous. I came at 14:30 and got my food at 16:10 (approximately) and the prices were so bad it's not even close to French prices. (Which are really bad) Overall considering everything is expensive around here it was fine I guess. Update: they messed up my order a second time and moved really slowly when the restaurant was empty. (2 hours+, -1 star) Would recommend with the condition of eating...
