16.10.2022 basically might be a pearl -brandnew, beautiful and expensive boutique-hotel with its 12 rooms - design, spotless clean, coffeemat in room,5amendities,comfy bed, excellent breakfast-BUT-ZERO SOUNDPROOF!!,walls in rooms by gipskarton! Taking a shower without flooding the half of bathroom doesnt work as doors do not close hermetic, wifi collapsed at morning and local coverage of mobile services very weak. Overheated room (Nr.7-more than 25 degrees in night)not possible to regulate as no remote control for AC in room visible(at morning I was told that its stored in wardrobe...very smart individual idea..),reception not 24h,so-necessary to call local contact phone with 2 Euro roaming per minute or to open window...with this-till 1 a.m.drunkyards from village and restaurant shouting in the streets and at 6:20a.m.at sunday THEIR street cleaner started in front of hotel to "clean" the street with a grasscutter-device. Checkin took more than half an hour as it was necessary to search the receptionist...then computer of receptionist didnt worked....just to be ignored by the waiter in the own pub even after pressing a requestbutton at the table.... Restaurant Baum itself was very solid,5,however! Would like to rate the Pension much better-but its not possible if staying honest as much to many little lacks...maybe I was there just on a wrong day.. 26.6.2025 2nd attempt - soundproof still to corridor not the best, but smooth checkin, spotless clean room, very comfy bed and good...
Read moreWe had some research to do in the area and this trip was just at the brink of recovery after coronavirus pandemic, when things and activities were starting to reopen with cautions. We first appreciated the very warm service received for accommodation with all the different precautions so that we could have a good stay . We also received a free upgrade of the room, useful especially since we were travelling with a child. The hotel is situated in the nice quaint town of Dumbraveni, with Armenian heritage, nwhich we could enjoy to have a walk in the evening. The place looks very good, good quality of furniture and it is so well equipped, with lots of toiletries. Many additional measures taken for hygiene which made us feel safe. The restaurant was open for take away and we could get dishes from their extended menu available, very convenient as not a lot of options exist otherwise in Dumbraveni - food was absolutely fabolous! We received the breakfast in the room, good food and in huge quantity, like a mini buffet :eggs, hot dogs, vegetables, 2 types of salami, ham, cheese, butter, yogurt, jam, bread. Congratulations on the nice place and services...
Read moreWe had an exceptional week at Kokel. The rooms were spacious and spotless, with great décor and crisp bed sheets. The corridors had pictures of the town, mixing the old with the new, in an up-to-date feel. Reception staff were very helpful, especially when we asked if there is a possibility to change the room as we travelled with two big dogs.
The breakfast buffet was delicious, with huge variety of options and great coffee. Not to mention they produce their veggies – making their hotel a trailblazer. Upleveling the hotel’s sustainability and social responsibility. For us, this provided an unexpected value and an exceptional overall experience. All staff including the ones from Bistroteca Baum were very helpful and ensured we were comfortable, nothing was too much trouble. The food at Bistroteca Baum was cooked fresh, inviting you to experience an explosion of flavour. Last but not least the hotel is disability-friendly – thank...
