Prietenia — Hotel in Giurgiu

We stayed in this motel because our preferred option (Hotel Sud) was fully booked. It's basically a motel which is on the main highway from Bucharest to Bulgaria. The room was basic and not very clean. We had fish which was under-cooked and the dessert was basically an inedible pancake which surprised me as the pancake is the national pudding of Romania. Breakfast was included but from a complicated menu which meant we had to choose a meal that had things in it that we didn't want (and left) and were then charged extra for butter and tea that we did want. ||||If you have to stay in this motel I would recommend eating at the Hotel Sud which is only a short cycle ride or walk away. This motel is located on the main road approaching the Bulgarian border and is a perfect stop-off after a long drive through Romania (or indeed Bulgaria). ||||The reception's bright and breazy with helpful staff and although the rooms aren't huge they are clean, en suite and ensured a comfortable nights sleep for us.||||A plus point is the affordable restaurant and bar. We sat outside on the patio drinking good Romanian beer and watching MTV for a good few hours, and dare I say it had we drunk more we probably would've ended up in the nightclub situated right next to the main reception desk!||||Thoroughly recommended for those transiting either of the above countries and you never know, you might get lucky with one...

As i stopped for one night in Giurgiu, i found this motel, and it was late and a strong fog so i decided to stay in here.||The motel is build ed along the national road which leads to Bulgarian border and has a large parking.||I waited 15 minutes at reception until a lady receptionist came.||She give me a two beds room, and i discovered that one bed and the bathroom were used and the room was not cleaned!||The room was small and smelly!||I payed for the parking too!||They have a a restaurant but i did not eat dinner or breakfast which was included in the room price!||The motel is an option for truck drivers passing by or other things...||Is not an option to...
