Pensiunea Casa Cornelia Mahmudia — Hotel in Mahmudia

We were a group of twenty three people and we were offered a 2 nights stay for the new year and the first day of the new year. We bought the services directly from the host, giving that we are from Tulcea.|| The host made it understand that at first it was a group which she had to let go in order to receive all of us, and therefore we were the only group in the guest house. She showed us almost all the rooms and said she had enough space for all of us.||When we arrived, we had the unpleasant surprise to find out that some of us had to share some space, because we were not the only group there. What they did is they accomodated the other visitors in double rooms and they gave us rooms with multiple beds, or rooms which share the same bathroom. ||So be careful to specify that you want a double room with private bathroom, in order to avoid any inconvenience.||The sarmale from the festive new year's eve dinner did not taste good, but some tomatoes were very good, seem organic, grown in the garden. Also the marinated fish was very good. For the main cours, some grilled pork and sausages with wedges, nothing special about that. We had to ask for more wedges because there weren't enough. I think their kitchen is undersized , because they didn't seem to manage all of us. Also, they are running short of the napkins (and toilet paper also) wich is kind of embarrasing. ||The last day's breakfast was very poor and bad quality. I attached photos. A few pieces of cheese for all those people... i have no words. ||Overall, my impression is that they are very cheap and offer cheap and very little food, they are more for the money than the services they offer. And the incident with the rooms was very upsetting, we had to choose from leaving and taking what they iffered us. Where to start? We were a group of 4 friends who traveled together to see the Danube Delta and rented a "family apartment" on booking.com at Cornelia's place. When we got there, in these trying times of Covid, there were about 15 people without masks and stood very close to each other. Then we didn't find the reception and someone had to take us to her majesty Ms. Cornelia She made us wait for a while after that she sprayed us with alcohol on our hands The first thing she said was that we needed privacy and the apartment is too small for us so we should take a "triple room" too, so 4 people should stay in 7 beds (where's the logic) The "family apartment" was in fact 1 room with 1 twin bed and 2 extensible couches Since she couldn't remember which room was available she started knocking on the doors and trying the handle After showing us the available rooms and we didn't even have a chance to settle in, she asked our itinerary for the other day If we wanted to go on a boat trip with other groups than hers, or if we wanted to eat at another place, she would have kicked us out of the "apartment". The reason... Covid-19 While talking to us inside the house she took her mask off and asked us to take it off too We wanted to visit a friend from another 1h drive village and she said "NO", again the reason Covid Another surprise, she proudly showed us that she canceled someone's booking from Poland who would have arrived in about 2h just because that person is from Poland and "who knows if she has Covid or not", but she didn't even check for our temperature at our arrival Oh and if she cancels a booking on booking.com then the people can't write bad reviews, that's why the rating on Booking is 8.8 and on Google 2.9

In conclusion, please avoid...

Am rezervat aici pentru o săptămână (6 nopți). Fiind 3 persoane dintre care o tânără cu handicap (fina noastră) am solicitat o cameră suficient de spațioasă pentru a nu sta înghesuiți printre mobile. Ni s-a oferit un apartament cu 2 camere nedecomandate la preț de cameră triplă, și am apreciat foarte mult acest lucru. Oricum, pensiunea era aproape goală, doamna avea suficiente camere de oferit și am apreciat solicitudinea ei. Ce ne-a placut: cazarea spațioasă, piscina curată (cineva o curăța în fiecare zi), apa limpede. Pentru că eram cu mașina, ne-am cam plimbat prin zonă astfel încât prânzul ni s-a oferit la ora solicitată, în funcție de cum ne întorceam de pe drum. Mâncarea bună, porții mari. Ce nu ne-a plăcut, motiv pt care nu ne vom mai întoarce aici: doamna amabilă dar rezervată, domnul... mereu prost dispus, de parcă le-am devenit musafiri cu de-a sila. Răspundea în doi peri și nu ne-a rezolvat problemele ridicate, cum ar fi temporizatorul la lumină de la baie, care se stingea automat după 10 secunde!!! Am făcut febră musculară la cât am dat din mâini să avem lumină. Duș am făcut cu ușa cabinei deschisă ca să pornim lumina. La baie nu este scurgere în podea, de aceea am avut de strâns la greu apa care s-a împrăștiat prin ușa deschisă a cabinei. Cum eram 3 persoane, am pierdut o oră să strângem apa de pe jos, asta în mai multe zile. Așa se explică găleata și mopul găsite în coltul băii. Ușa care dădea din cameră pe terasa din față nu se putea deschide având sistemul de deschidere defect. Geamul din cameră era murdar. Bucătăria pusă la dispoziție turiștilor este foarte murdară, neigienizată de mult timp. Un cuptor cu microunde defect, veselă inexistentă, un aragaz la care funcționa un singur ochi, lipicios peste tot. Nu aș fi avut curaj să o folosesc să îmi prepar ceva. Ni s-a pus la dispoziție un frigider la parter, pe care îl foloseam împreună cu ceilalți turiști din pensiune. La un moment dat ne-am trezit cu frigiderul oprit, fără să fim anunțați și fără sa ni se ofere spațiu de depozitare în altă parte. M-am lăsat păgubaș să fac sugestii sau observații gazdelor ca să nu-mi stric concediul întrucât și așa, de multe probleme se ocupa domnul, care mereu era morocănos și răspundea în doi peri, anulând parcă străduința doamnei (oricum nici dumneaei nu era foarte amabilă dar măcar nu era întoarsă pe dos cum era domnul). Un mare plus a fost plimbarea de 4 ore și jumătate pe lacurile și canalele din zonă făcută cu șalupa pensiunii. Domnul care a condus șalupa foarte amabil și ne-a dat multe explicații și ne-a dus prin locuri super faine! Am plătit 150 lei/pers pt această plimbare, în condițiile în care am fost noi trei plus încă două doamne cazate în pensiune. Mâncarea mi s-a părut scumpă, 35 lei un borș de pește, 50 lei felul II, format din peste sau pui. Dar măcar era bine gătită și suficientă. Pensiunea are potențial și este bine plasată, la doi pași de o faleză frumoasă dar ar trebui mai multă atenție la detalii, curățenie și la interacțiunea cu turiștii. Doamna puțin mai amabilă iar domnul trimis la plimbare că strică cheful turiștilor. Pe ansamblu ne-am simțit bine, aș da nota 7,5 și nu cred că vom mai reveni.
