Afrodita — Hotel in Mangalia

The hotel has a reception staff that was top notch, extremely kind, a very good breakfast and an interesting artistic program, with covers, but well prepared night after night. It is admirable that there is a private beach that offers free sunbeds and umbrellas. Also, the swimming pool and the courtyard are very nicely arranged and maintained, offering a very pleasant atmosphere.|Unfortunately, the restaurant staff is a disaster. With the exception of one waiter, I think the head of the waiters, the others were below expectations. In addition to the attitude of some which was absolutely rude, to put it elegantly, it seemed that they were disturbed, made wrong orders, incomplete, without information when asking for a recommendation. The tip cannot be paid on the tax receipt, but it was agree to pay the tip with the card, at the POS, but without any tax receipt certifying its payment (apart from the receipt from the POS). There is no possibility to bathe in the sea, because the beach on the left belongs to another hotel that also forbids bathing in sea water, on the grounds that it has private access, and the one on the right is not usable.|Therefore, to be able to take a bath you have to move about 300 m, to reach a public area, that is...

I got really excited when I heard this is a 4 star hotel but here's some things that really pissed me off;||My bathroom ceiling was leaking|They don't clean the pool overnight, it was full of leaves and dead flies and some sand too|The food isn't really that good like the reviews say, I tried cereal and I almost spat it right back out and then I ordered bean soup and I didn't really like it|The private sea has jellyfishes both my little cousin and uncle got stung (you guys could really add a net to block off jellyfishes the 2 times I got in the sea I got out the next 6 minutes scared for my life)|The air filter in the bathroom is super loud||Here's some things I liked;|The beds are super comfortable|The AC always works|Balcony view is amazing|Nice staff and the rooms are always getting cleaned in the morning|Free soap, body wash, shampoo and towels (both body and hand towels)|Lot of closet room||Overall the hotel focuses more on room quality rather than food quality and outside cleanliness (like I said the pool had a lot of leaves and also some deck chairs had some sand on them) but there are also a lot of restaurants nearby so I guess that's better.|I would say the hotel deserves 3.9-4.1 stars instead of 4.3...
