Hotel Turquoise — Hotel in Mangalia

We have been to Turquiose hotel as a family with a 6 months old child. As a first bad impression,we received a baby coat only the second day, although i have mentioned my need for it to the travel agency and directly to the hotel on the phone (it is a family hotel they say). Another bad first impression was the receptionist ( brunette), who turned out to be the one i spoke to on the phone, she was everything but kind and eager to help-fortunately we haven't seen her again.|It is obvious that the owners spent a lot of money to renovate the place but the people (staff and guests) don't seem to appreciate it. And a sea side hotel should not have carpets on the floors, saving the tourists from seeing stains which will never come out, leaving the impression it is extremely dirty. |The rooms are ok, big enough, bathroom is big with a shower and the balcony with a partial but nice sea view. |My biggest problem there it was the fact that the housekeeping did not exist-their understanding of cleaning the room (at a 4 stars hotel) is to change the towels and take the garbage, no vacuuming (the stupid carpets), no making the beds, no changing the beds. In our first night, i found LOTS of long black hair on the sheets....|The food was good, we had plenty to chose from, lots of meat, salads. We did not like the deserts, except for the fruits( more fruits during the day would be nicer). As for the snack at 16.00, they say they give sandwiches, pastries and pizza, we only got pizza every day...the drinks at the inside bar were terrible.|The water in the pool was very cold, you could go in only in the afternoon when it was still very cold.|The beach unfortunately was dirty and Venus is unfriendly and old, you have nothing to do there and a walk takes 5 minutes and...

🖐this hotel has great potential, and looks great from the outside 🖐low efficiency air conditioning system, feels old and useless sometimes 🖐the staff are not very friendly, but not bad either 🖐their private beach is located in the back of the hotel has a very strange smelling little "river" that flows directly into the sea. The seabed on that beach is full of big sharp rocks. Could have been improved

👎they don't care if the special Covid-19 rulles are taken seriously by their customers. We've seen alot of pleople without masks inside the lobby! 👎one of the most expensive hotels in Venus doesn't have anything in the mini-bar (after 4-5 hours of driving). You can ask them for smth in the mini-bar 👎we've found one pillow on the bed wich had some strange marks 👎on the bill there's written "all inclusive", but we bought "breakfast included" on booking.com 👎in some places, the walls fall off, inside the room 👎the cleaning lady was cleaning the floor inside the elevator without wearing any shoes.. that's kinda' strange to see.. 🙄 I guess the manager of this hotel didn't even heard of "Hotel impossible" TV show! :-)) Anyway, it was almost good for 2nights.. but I don't recommend, if you really expect...

The room: Not much to complain about here. Both the room and the bathroom were pretty tidy and comfortable. The carpet, however, was dirty in the room as well as in the hallways. Another complaint regards the size of the balcony. We have also had no space to dry our towels and bathing suits.||Bonus: Free minibar!||||Surroundings: It is true that the beach is small and dirty near this hotel, but unfortunately this is a common thing in Venus. They have a large pool, but the water is kind of cold.||||Service: Good service. The staff was friendly and nice except the fact that we asked the cleaning lady to postpone the service two days in a row and she didn't come afterwards.||||Food: We were offered a variety of food: appetisers, soups for lunch, main dishes, desserts and fruits. The taste was good, not great. The drinks included were awful, so we had to buy our own at the bar (and they were a little overpriced).||||Other: We had our holiday in September and it was just full of (noisy) small children. ||The wi-fi connection...
