Hotel Edelweiss — Hotel in Mediaș

Stayed here with my brother in a twin room and with two friends who had single rooms.|Our room was on first floor with a balcony . The room was quite spacious and comfortable the bathroom/ toilet was also okay both were clean and in good order. There was no Aircon but with the balcony door ajar ( the weather was hot) it was comfortable.|The reception was manned and the receptionists spoke some fairly good English.|The dining room was large and very well appointed and the breakfasts were quite substantial.All buffet style|We had an evening meal on one night which was very good and reasonably priced, me being a vegetarian had no problems at all.|The hotel is about a 10/15 minutes walk into central Medias but if you arrive by train or bus a taxi is only about £1.20p a bargain.|My two friends who had a single room each were basically on the top floor in the roof, the only window being a roof light, but they had plenty of room, not cramped.|The cost of the twin room for my brother and myself ,with breakfasts for 3 nights was approx £48 each .A real bargain for a...

Unfortunately I have to give this place a bad review. We were two people, we had reserved a double with queen bed. We initially received a room with separate beds and noticed that the ceiling was leaking. We notified the issues and got transferred from the second floor to the fourth, to another room, this time without separate beds, yet there was something wrong with the room. The room was 30 degrees hot and despite us turning on the medieval AC, it took hours to get the room just a little cooler. There was a mini cooler that was incredibly loud, one cover instead of two, one bathrobe instead of two. So it felt like the hotel didn't go through the two rooms before renting them out. The bathroom had issues as well, paint was falling off the sink, the showerhead wasn't properly attached, the toilet roll holder was about to fall off and get this NO COLD WATER.

Horrible place! This "hotel" is a bad joke! Booked a double room but received a twin one with water dripping from the ceiling in the bathroom; then got moved to a double room in the attic where it was impossibly warm as the air conditioning wasn't turned on - 30 degrees in there! We turned it on at 18 and when we got back past midnight it only went down to 24 degrees - ancient machine....In the bathroom cold water was not running, the shower head and toilet paper holder were falling off. The little fridge was making an infernal noise, had to unplug it to be able to sleep. We complained in the morning and asked for a particular refund for this joke since they skrewed up our booking and moved us into a lesser quality room, but that was not possible of course! We were told to complain where we booked! We booked on booking.com, they have nothing to do with this! We came for the Medieval Fest and wanted to enjoy our time in the city... Couldn't even take a shower.... Stay away from this...
