La Livada — Hotel in Otopeni

I have stayed here twice recently when I have flown into the airport one day and had a flight out the next. It has the advantages of being convenient for the airport, really nice and excellent value.||||Both rooms I was in were comfortable. The heating worked well (and there is AC for the summer). The wifi worked well in my rooms and in the breakfast area. All very clean. Bathrooms were functional though I struggled a bit for space to put things down. As with many European hotels you need to bring your own washcloth.||||I am a big fan of the breakfast. This was not included in my room rate but was available for a modest extra charge. I ordered this when I checked in and it was ready and waiting for me at the appointed time the next morning.||||I walked to and from the airport. It took me no more than 25 minutes (in my capacity as a senior citizen). I wouldn't attempt the walk with large luggage - the "footpath" is uneven in places to the point of being hazardous. The owner is extremely rude when presented with any problem. If something is wrong from his point of view, he shows it bluntly with no remorse. Very fake and rude. Rooms were very dusty, glasses filthy and with greasy fingerprints, shower drain clogged and when presented with the issue he blamed us that we stepped on the mounted floor drain cover( seriously? A floor mounted drain cover? You’re supposed to step on that with no problem you knob). The cleaner never uses a vacuum cleaner. Just brooms a bit. Breakfast planned a day before for 9am and surprise, in the morning at 9am nothing ready. If you want to eat anything you have to order takeaway from an external party. Very rude and unprofessional. No good mornings no nothing. AVOID AT ALL COST!!! Never had such an unpleasant stay anywhere. Only the negative feedbacks reflect the true reality of this location. Pick this one at your own cost and risk!!! You will be extremely disappointed!!! Will never ever recommend or stay there...

Stayed for only one night, it's a great place if you have an early flight the next day and need to get to the airport. It takes just a few minutes by car to get to Otopeni airport . Walking distance is around 2 km so if you have bags or in the winter time, I would recommend getting a cab/ Uber/transfer booked at the reception. Very nice owners, extremely attentive and with good vibes. You can reserve breakfast for the next day and it was quite nicely cooked. A big plus for this place is the fact that you can check in later at night, unlike other hotels which have a strict check-in/check-out policy, the owner waited for us, helped us with the food order and with the bags...
