Pensiunea Mirela - Pestera Ursilor — Hotel in Pietroasa

A place it was meant to be nice and that is literally 10min from the Bear's Cave in Chiscau, Bihor, BUT no success in reaching this. The host is very nice and doing her more than very best BUT in my humble opinion, this is not enough. Food is medium-minus, too. The building has no soundproofing and I was not able to sleep as, through the walls you can literally hear every sound that happens in the hospice although I've asked and changed the room. The place is new and clean BUT offers no comfort at all and this makes it unpleasant and very expensive as, by the end, you get nothing. I didn't expect a 5 Stars hotel there BUT I had to drive 7h after a no sleep night in...

The location is very good. Walkable distance to Bear's Cave (Peștera Urșilor), which itself was worth a lot to see. Amazing drip cave. Mirela Hotel was a kind of disappointment. We came as 3, 2 adults and 1 child. We got two separate rooms (not even beside each other), even though the room we booked (and got confirmed) was a 3-bed room. Unfortunately no-one speaks English in the hotel. Breakfast was so-so, you eat what you get. Toilet lid was broken in each room, no shower gel or shampoo was provided. Not a very...

We ate here for breakfast before going to the cave. We all got omelettes, mine with "slenina" (smoked lard) and the rest with cheese, tomato and cucumber salad. It took 30 MINUTES. I could have went to the shop in that time and made the omelettes myself, not to mention they were all cold, the lard was extremely bitter, and the "salad" was just sliced tomatoes. Awful. They did accommodate our request for toast with cheese for my special needs brother so I guess...
