La Conacul Vesel — Hotel in Săpânța

The staff at this beautiful (and small) hotel are wonderful and friendly. Even though they don't speak English they go above and beyond to be more accommodating than could reasonably be expected. The rooms are spacious, comfortable (best bed I have slept on since arriving in Romania a week ago) and clean. As added bonuses, the view from the balconies are breathtaking (either of the mountains or of the town), the food is amazing and it is less than 50 meters away from the "Happy Cemetery."

As overrated as I feel the Happy Cemetery is as an attraction, La Conacul Vesel more than makes up for it. Not only is this hotel built in the traditional architectural style of the region, but it gives the opportunity for outsiders to experience the real culture of the region! Including the best home-made cabbage rolls and chicken dumplings soup I have ever had... I can say that because my wife already told me that she like them more than...

Me and my family spent 5 nights in this hotel for new year's eve. We had an extraordinary experience that we will remember always. || The rooms are big, very clean, modern, with big, comfortable bed and very nice and clean shower.|| The food there was amazing, cooked by the hosts with bio, eco ingredients, the food tasted great, they offered big portions, local drinks, some of them produced by the hosts themselves. Everything at superlative.|| The hosts are very, very nice persons, very careful with all the guests and always helping and smiling. || The hotel is just 50 meters away from the Happy Cemetery, the local sight, there is a beautiful monastery (the tallest wooden church in Europe) just 1 km away and other sights worth seeing.|| We will come back for sure to this hotel, we loved every single moment spent here and we warmly recommend...

This hotel checked every box a traveler could hope for. The public areas and room were beautifully decorated and cozy. The room was big. The bed and pillows were very comfy. It had ample plugs and well positioned light switches. It had nice atmosphere lighting for when you didn't want bright lights. The shower was amazing, great water pressure, hot water, robes and slippers! The best thing was the large balcony with very comfortable chairs and the view of Merry Cemetery and the church diagonally across the street. It was really incredible to be able to sit on your balcony and watch the sun set each evening on the Cemetery and church. It had an ample breakfast for a charge. It has convenient free...
