Gica's Inn — Hotel in Satu Mare

Absolutely disappointing!!! We loved to enjoy a good meal with my friends every time w revisit Satu Mare but this time our experience was completely disappointing. Understaffed and completely inexperienced staff. No greetings at all , the only waiter don’t eve Ben bother to welcome us. It takes nearly 20 min to have the menu and another 20 min out order to be taken. After 20 min I have to remind the waiter to serve the ordered drinks and another half an hour to have our meal. The chicken meat was acceptable but the fries were burned and stone cold. When politely asked the waiter to replace the fries , she came back couple of minutes later with the same plate which it was reheated in microwave.

When we were ready to order our dessert we were informed because the high volume of orders they are not able to serve us anymore.

I’m absolutely sure I will never return to this restaurant after this...

Make yourself a favour, and listen to the bad reviews. Although my room was big and clean, it smelled bad and was way too warm. But the bathroom stank even worse! Clearly there's almost no ventilation. Asked twice for the missing air conditioning remote control, and was promised to get it, but that never happened. I did open the window, but that led to a closed terrace, so that didn't help much. The doors have lousy sound insulation, so you can hear all the noise coming from the bar downstairs, and nobody cares that it's midnight, and that probably the majority of guests are transiting and need to rest. I can't understand how this place has a rating of over 8 on booking dot com.. Understaffed, unprofessional, stinky, and cheaply built. And I think it would be a wise decision to avoid the food. I tried to book a one night stay for myself and my family, based on the fact that the venue is close to the border, easy to access and I've already stayed here some two years ago. However, things didn't go smoothly... Without asking, and without telling me, the person on the phone assigned the type of rooms at her own discretion. On the day of my arrival I called for confirmation only to find out that we've been assigned to double beds instead of a double bed and a room with two single beds.
