I'm a regular user or Accor loyalty program. Now, because of the pandemic situation I'm just Silver, but I was also Gold in the past so I've seen a lot of Mercure hotels, but also Ibis, Novotel, Sofitel, Mama shelter, etc. That's why I've decided to book this hotel on my trip to Sibiu. However it was the worst experience with Accor hotels, even worst than an Ibis budget Booking: Despite I mentioned at the moment of booking that I would need a bed for my daughter and I called in advance to check if that was ok, getting the confirmation from the hotel, at the reception they were not aware. However after 10 min they found another room that could fit. They also asked for extra money for that. Room: Looks like in 90's despite the pictures on website. TV from 2009 with quality from 2000. Also they don't have some of the TV stations that usually are for free, not the HBO or others Breakfast: Despite the restrictions because of the pandemic (50% occupancy in restaurants and cafes within hotels) the place was full and they were sitting people from different groups at the same table, like at the weeding. First day, there was only one guy and one lady that were trying to bring the food and seat people at the tables. Of course the food was not enough. Second day was better as they brought more people, however still the place was full. Cleaning: NOTHING FOR 3 DAYS, even I said in the first day. I had to request for toilet paper every evening Others: I had expired beer in the minibar.
I"M NOT RECCOMEND IT.
PS: I think this is my first negative review and one of the...
Read moreI would like to provide feedback regarding our recent stay at your hotel. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet the expectations for a four-star establishment. Upon arrival, we were assigned a room where the telephone was missing (only the cable was present). This raises concerns, as in the event of an emergency, immediate access to a phone would have been essential. It is surprising that such an issue was overlooked during room preparation. Additionally, the table lamp in the room was non-functional, despite being plugged in. The electric kettle could not be closed properly, and basic amenities such as a shoe horn and an iron were not provided. Even after changing rooms, the shoe horn was still missing. Furthermore, due to a wedding being hosted in the hotel restaurant, dining options were unavailable, and there was no room service alternative. As a result, we were left without a proper meal and had to make do with an overpriced bottle of mineral water from the reception. Finally, breakfast service only began at 07:00. Given that our flight was at 06:00, we were unable to benefit from a meal we had already paid for. Many hotels address this by offering guests an early takeaway option (such as a sandwich or snack) in such cases, which unfortunately was not the case here. I hope you take this feedback into serious consideration, as these are matters of both comfort and guest care, and I trust improvements will be made to ensure future guests receive the level of service they expect from a...
Read moreDisco noise from the discotheque approx. 400 m away all night long until shortly before 7 am. Obviously a problem known to the management but unresolved (see also previous feedback on this issue). Very friendly and understanding staff provided a different room with less noise during the night - supposedly in an accommodating manner - a little less noisy, but still an acoustic ordeal. However, it turned out afterwards that I had to pay for the move. If this was a way of increasing turnover, would it be a little harder for the management to deal with the noise? Without any night's sleep, all the criteria of a hotel (e.g. facilities, cleanliness, breakfast) remain irrelevant to me. Anyone who is not very tough when it comes to booming night-time noise is simply lost in this hotel, at least...
