The reason I give this relatively dingy hotel a 5 star is because it completely exceeded my expectations for a 3 star hotel.||||In Romania, you can't set the expectation very high so it was refreshing that I did not have too much to complain about.||||The room was their best room, just opposite the reception. The evening dinner was bearable with the normal over cooked food where they kill the animal twice but they did put on a nice live show on that performed English songs when they discovered an English tourist in the room. Of course, that came after a decent tip - which is how life works in Romania.||||Above all, the room had heating that worked! So we had a pleasant sleep without freezing. It was spacious and eventually had a fridge when they came to install it.||||Everything in the bathroom worked including hot water.||||You can open a window but it won't stay open as the hinges are at the top but you can find a book to wedge it open for fresh air.||||A non smoking room with an ash tray but I'm a smoker so no complaints.||||No lift, so get some fitness and climb stairs, glad that we didn't have big luggage because no luggage support.||||Service overall was just typical of Romania - slow and indifferent, in fact semi conscious. I hate having to find a waitress for everything I need even though I'm not so demanding. They huddle in a corner having a cigarette. Next time on their mobile. Next time just having a chat with their colleagues.||||They don't speak English so you just have to get on with it if you don't speak Romanian.||||However, as far as out of Bucharest Romania is concerned (about 80% of the whole country) I have experienced far worse than this.||||By primitive standards, this is a 5.||||I've experienced a lot worse 3 star hotels in Romania but in fact they are all decades behind.||||Anyway, if you visit Slobozia, you could do worse...

We received the room with very dirty walls, dirty towels, parking view, many mosquitoes even if the door and window was closed. (I recommend to the staff to rent the rooms including raid spray for mosquitoes) ||Breakfast: ||As I said our reservation was included breakfast. In this hotel the breakfast is served in restaurant aālaācarte (order from menu). You will receive from reception a voucher with 20 RON value per person and with this voucher need to pay the breakfast...sure just what you can pay with him and if you need something else you will need to pay extra. The prices for a food is expensive, so in my case I bay with a voucher just āBreakfast CENTRALā ( 2 eggs+ sausages+ buttermilk+ toast) that was 20 RON so for a coffee and something cold I was need to pay extra. I receive the plate without buttermilk and total different then pictures menu... ||I attached some pictures from the room and breakfast and I really not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreStayed at Hotel Central as a party of three in September 2024 and we booked a quadruple room.
First and foremost, please note that the rooms are much nicer than the old photos and are now renovated and clean.
The included breakfast is basically a 30RON budget per person at the hotelās restaurant. Itās ok, mediocre at best. The coffee was pretty bad.
Iād like to note that we booked a quadruple room because, as previously mentioned, we needed a room to accommodate three people. We were given a double bed and an extendable sofa for the third person. However, we had to put the bedding on the sofa ourselves, which is quite odd at this price point.
All in all, I still think this is one of the best options for your stay in Slobozia for a number of reasons: lack of options, good looking rooms and...
