We stayed here for 9 days, so we got to experience everything it has to offer.||The hotel is far from the hustle and bustle of the cities, and there is no noise from the main road. From here you can visit any landmark in Maramures, within 3 hours of driving.||The complex is very large, and from what you can see around it, it expands even more. The water park and spa area is large enough, even if the hotel is full. Only on Sundays, it can become over-saturated, after it is filled with tourists coming just for the pool.||The room was large enough and everything was functional. The AC in the room should be checked upon check-in to cool well, because the hotel is very hot. The lack of a central cooling noticeable, and the hallways and rooms are often at 30 degrees C, even with the windows closed and the curtains pulled.||The breakfast is rich and the à la carte restaurant has very good dishes. The food from the pool instead is totally different, of a much lower quality.||Parking is huge in relation to the number of rooms, but on weekends it fills after 10 o'clock.||||As others have noticed, there are no intervals when all the facilities in the hotel and spa are 100% operational. During the nine days we spent here, various facilities were temporarily closed, either by rotation or by failure.||Another dissatisfaction of mine is that in the Spa area, the hotel guests are ignored, although they offer bracelets, robes and towels for differentiation. During the weekend, huge queues are formed at the bar, and you have to stay in the sun at 35 degrees C for more than half an hour just to have a drink. Although the staff is sufficient (I think there were 6 employees at the bar, plus 2-3 supervisors), things are moving very slowly.||I understand that other people pay an entrance ticket to the pool, but in the circumstances in which we pay the hotel over 2500 lei per stay, and the rest are only here a few hours, spending somewhere between 50-100 lei, it does not seem fair. There should be a person dedicated to the hotel guests, or someone who will come to the lounge chair to take orders, as it is easy to differentiate who is a hotel customer...
I booked a Christmas (December 22-26, 2024) at this hotel, suite for myself, my wife and two children.||Pros:|- The front desk people were mostly ok|- the restaurant was ok|- room was big|- food was tasty|- pools and spa (the parts we went to) were ok.||Cons:|- In the suite we were staying in there was an awful noise from the hotel air conditioning system (from what I understood from other guests there were a few others with the same problem). We reported the problem to the reception and at 8 pm they turned the system off. The next day it started again. The reaction of the manager on duty that day, a certain Mr. Marchis Bujorel, was to give me lessons on what other hotels do, which was nothing. Their solution was for me to report to them when I come in and out of the room so that they can turn the plumbing on and off. The 3rd day they even woke me up from my sleep, they probably thought I had overslept and it was going to turn on the system.|- They should have left organizing events. Certainly not worth 600 km. The first evening something acceptable was organized (the reception.was a regular check-in), a kind of pig feast (which we saw but not ate), but we had traditional food instead. Traditions...just a local group of carol singers from a school (who sang beautifully by the way) and that was the end of the traditions.|Second evening, break. It was a kind of overpriced B&B. No music, no nothing (another customer said "like alms") and closing at 10. The 3rd night they had a soloist with a very good voice but who forgot that it's still Christmas and people want to have fun, and had the same playlist as the first night (about 7 songs) the same with closing at 10. The menu on the first day of Christmas is also worth mentioning: pizza, caprese salad, pasta... kind of a picnic dinner. |I don't know about others but I went all the way to Maramures for Christmas with traditions and children's party, as presented in the offer, not to be offered something worthy of a 3 star hotel with swimming pool on a...
Read moreThe hotel is new (opened at the end of 2018), everything looks great and works.||Location is in a residential area away from the main road. Unfortunately the residential area is still under development and the works may occasionally disturb the quiet area but that is temporary. There is a big forest nearby and the birds provide a very relaxing early morning/late evening ambient. Huge parking lot for those traveling by car, very close to Baia Mare airport. Baia Mare city is very close, about 3 kilometers away.||||Rooms are big and have everything you need plus a very nice interior design (for my taste). Room cleaning was done on a daily basis and it was done properly.||||The hotel staff is always smiling and trying to be helpful but not too intrusive.||Good WiFi coverage both in the hotel and spa area.||||Breakfast was decently varied and of high quality. Restaurant prices were medium. Not so varied dishes in the menu, but everything we tried was of excellent quality.||||The spa is something else, one of the best I've seen. Everything is clean and looking great. Staff were always paying attention to our needs.||||Hotel has no elevator but they can offer rooms at ground floor for people with disabilities. They also have a ramp access for wheelchairs.||||Overall, 5 stars for everything. I'm sure we'll visit them again in the...
