Can't speak highly enough of our stay here, food was included, it was like a little touch of home. Big comfortable rooms with ensuite, balcony off most rooms with countryside views. And the food .... home cooked, even the berry jams. Dinner was a pre starter, yummy fritters, cheeses and fresh salad veges, followed by a hearty soup, then a meat dish with accompaniments and home made sweets to die for. Couldn't possibly ask for anything better. It's a home away from home, complete with a family in residence (though not intrusive), Romona our host/owner is friendly and both I g is a problem for her. Ramona, th pension's owner, cook, host and laundress is what makes this pension work. Hospitable and accommodating, she is a good cook. Her meat-and-rice stuffed grape leaves were tasty, likewise her beef (tender) and potatoes. Along with home made jams and relishes, she whips out a walnut topped dessert cake that was one of the best I've eaten.
Her chalet-like 2-story pension is in a quiet neighborhood and features clean rooms with plenty of hot water. Cable TV and free wi-fi are also available. Weary travelers will also appreciate her laundry service, about 14 lei per person.
