Agrotouristic Raluca - Vadu Izei — Hotel in Vadu Izei

Lets start with a hint : if you are looking for luxury and valet parking , forget about this place. ||If you are looking for an excellent bed and breakfast type of place - look no further , you've found and excellent spot. ||So when you go through this review and you look at the 5 stars it is not by comparing it to some fancy hotel in Hong Kong or Guadalajara - it is in the category it belongs to , B&B. ||Location - in Vadu Izei - close to main street/road (DN 18 Baia Mare - Borsa)- only like 400 m away from it... and close to a little shop (bottled water , etc. you can get there). ||The rooms sparkling clean , the bathroom likewise - the sheets and towels smelled extremely fresh from that perspective nothing to say. ||In terms of C-19 - distancing is in place - tables in the dining areas are distanced , sanitizer is available, etc. from that perspective we felt safe there. ||Service - the owners (Alex and his wife Raluca) are some gorgeous people, lovely in the approach - nothing more to say. ||You got free Wi-Fi on the property ... so for those in need of web access it is no issue. ||Food - breakfast, excellent, a mix of local grown / made food and some from the stores ... nonetheless great option, excellent variety and tasty. ||Prices - pocket friendly, you can pay cash or when you book the place (did not ask for the credit card on the premises so dunno if they accept credit card). ||So to sum it all up, if you need a place to stay in Maramures and you want to visit the surroundings - this is it! ... try it out I'm sure you won't be...

Pensiunea agroturistica Raluca is located in an idyllic countryside landscape. Although just a short distance from the main road, on a hillside, it seems miles away from the daily noise. Alex, our host, welcomed us promptly (he kindly offered us palinca, too. Palinca is the local firewater). Free parking, free wi-fi. Wonderful yard & terrace with amazing views. Fast check-in & check-out. ||Our twin room with bathroom was quiet, spotless clean, with beautiful rustic design. It had balcony access and amazing mountain/courtyard views. Comfy beds. Spotless clean bathroom with expected amenities. Excellent traditional breakfast promptly prepared for us at the precise time we requested (very early in the morning). Beautiful dinning room. All the food is fresh and locally-grown (eggs from free-roaming chickens, locally produced cheeses and milk, garden fresh vegetables, traditional home-made spreads, preserves, local honey, herbal tea, etc.). Very tasty, too! ||Close to the main attractions - within 15-mile radius (the Village Museum of Maramures, the Wooden Church of Deseşti & Budesti - UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Bârsana Monastery, the Merry Cemetery, etc.). I didn't really get a hint of the rooms they offer but the service was very good, as planned as it was it went smoothly like hot butter, the food was actually pretty good and I'm saying this because it's a rarety to find a place with an awfully good landscape and decoration. You are sat on a big hill where the landscape of the local Town is visible all the way to the nearest mountains. !Countion! Getting there requires a bit of driving skill since you will be going up at around 30%,so fasten your seat belt and drive safe. Besides that a 9 out of 10 if I were very critic about it. would recommend it to everyone...
