Casa Contelui — Hotel in Zona Metropolitană Brașov

We stayed for one night this September. Here is the resumé:||||+||The whole place is very well maintained, looks good, clean and cozy. ||The rooms are also very good, not huge but spacious enough (especially for a short stay).||The host is welcoming and keeps her distance.||The house is positioned just under the sign Rasnov on the hill.||Situated 20 mins from Brasov and at half the price if you stayed in the city itself. (25e/night)||They collaborate with Diana horse-riding center which is easily accessed (20 mins away). (We had a great time there)||||-||The breakfast is just terrible and overpriced: romanian style veggie plateau with cheese and meat stuff- didn't look fresh, no international options such as croissants, cornflakes, eggs, sausage, omlet--apparently we should have asked.||Waaay to many dogs barking at night.||You can hear the noise from other rooms quite a lot.||||All in all, great short stay and would return if in...

The old lady, who manages the house is on a tight budget. Trying to cut the costs on everything. That is unprofessional.

We stayed there last winter and she kept turning down all the heaters. When we were leaving in the morning for skying she turned off all the heaters. Even from our rooms. In the first two days we thought we forgot to turn the heat on ... but no, she turns it off to cut the costs.

She uses the same method also with the electric power. We left the light on the hallway, she appears from nowhere, turns it off. She has a backdoor and comes all the time to check everything out, all the time. Like a Goblin.

Totaly unprofessional and .... emberassing to say the least. If you feel unsecure with this business, don't do it. I wouldn't be surprised if she had...

I rented the apartment. It is quite spacious for 2 adults and 1 child - MAXIMUM (owner has provided us an extra bed). The apartment has a small kitchen, sofa and table where you can eat.||The garden is large and very well maintained, clean and full of vegetation. In the garden you can sit in lounge chairs or on summer evenings in the shade of a gazebo. I noticed that there is a grill where it is possible to cook meat (we have not done it, if you want to do this, ask the owner's consent).||In the garden there is a small playground for children.||The owner of the villa...
