Pensiunea Casa Zărneșteană — Hotel in Zona Metropolitană Brașov

Nice place. I would stay there again . beds are comfortable. Breakfast was included. It was actually cooked and prepared for the guests. It was nice but not great. The hosts are very nice. The problem is that during the day they disappear. For example, we needed a roll of toilet paper (only was provided in the bathroom) and no staff was anywhere to be found after 11:00 until about 7:30 or so in the evening. So I ended up pillaging toilet paper from one of the lobby bathrooms. Another problem was our bathroom light only worked some of the time. My roommate had to shower with His headlamp one time. The rooms were nice, but some of the details were lacking attention, for example not leaving a spare roll of toilet paper in the bathroom, or toilet paper dispenser was broken, toilet seat was loose, malfunctioning light in bathroom, lack of a rail in the shower stall to mount the shower head ( you had to hold it yourself ) slow draining water in shower stall, no floor towel, ( had to use your own towel on the floor to keep from slipping). I would have liked to have fruit juice and water available for breakfast in addition to the coffee and tea. But as I said, I would stay there again. It was clean, comfortable, and had a kitchen, and washing machine for our use. The staff seemed fond of dance music, since it could be heard almost all day, but I didn't care for the rap music with profanity this morning. All in all... 3 stars but a nice 3 stars. A nice place that could use some...

There are two buildings - one close to the main street, without any view, and one behind, with fabulous mountain view (we could not see much though, as it was foggy during our stay). We came in a large group and rented the whole first building and 3 bedrooms in the second one. Bedrooms are spacious, clean and warm (maybe too hot at times), so are the bathrooms. Bathrooms in the attic rooms are a challenge, as there is insufficient height in the showers and the toilets. Water pressure is not great and sometimes hot water stops completely for a short while. ||||There is a small yard between the two buildings - we have spent quite a lot of time here, even though it was chilly at times - and a large one behind the second building. ||||Meals are served on the ground floor of the second building, in a spacious hall. Food is pretty basic, but tasty. There is also a kitchen on the ground floor of the first building, I guess used for self service.||||Decorations in the second building are a bit strange (lights and paintings, tiled floors except for the rooms) and do not fit in the environment - I would have expected a more rustic ambiance in line with the surroundings.||||A plus for the owners - Mihaela and Dragos - who are very friendly...

Traveling trough Zarnesti, we have asked to rent an ATV for one hour. We found a nice place that was offering ATVs for rent . The owner lady told us it is going to cost us 200 Lei and must be guided by her husband. We paid the lady and got ready for the ride. After a while her husband arrived took us for a ride. The ride was very disappointing and at least half of it was on paved road and extremely dangerous. The ride lasted an hour and a half (without us asking for it). At the end of the ride the husband demanded that we will pay additional 200 Lei and got mad when we told him it is unfair to force us to pay for something we haven't asked for. At the end we paid additional money just to calm him. Don't recommend...
