We did not stay in this hotel however we sat outside in their restaurant a few times. The first time we had a couple of drinks and that was fine, a nice setting for an evening drink. However, the next day we went back for food. We went inside to order because nobody was outside taking orders. We then had to wait at least 30 minutes for our drinks to arrive, which we had to remind the staff about and were eventually given the wrong drinks. Then our food came in stages so my friend had finished her main course before she even got her sides. Again, we had to remind her twice to bring the sides. The food was ok however it was rather greasy. When it came to paying it seemed to be that only one person was allowed to work the till so we had to wait for our change, which we just gave up on in the end, having waited so long. The staff sighed every time we went in to order, it seemed a massive inconvience to them to have to serve us.There are not many bars and restaurants in Listvyanka, however I would only go back to Dream of Baikal if I was getting a drink and had time to kill since everything takes a long time there! On the plus side, the girl that worked in the souvenier shop was lovely and very keen to practice her English with us - maybe they should have her work in...

Read moreArrived at Listvyanka from Irkusk downtown at 5ish, so we were in a hurry to find a place to stay~ we just couldn't take our eyes off this newly-built hotel that located next to the fish market and the flea market was 5mins walk away. Very new furniture, a lot of gorgeous silverware in bathroom and bedroom. Balcony was available for rooms on 2/F and 3/F that we could enjoy the stunning lake view. (Nice sunset on that day following two cloudy and rainy days, we couldn't be more lucky) The owner was super generous to share his "Baikal Dream" to us. Continental breakfast included. A bit pricey for the backpackers like us, but it's undoubtedly worth staying here for a night or two to pamper ourselves in between the tough days.||Make sure you have enough cash as I remembered they didn't...
