We stayed here in January 2021 in a chalet (suitable for 4-5 people). ||||1) The hotel/resort.||The hotel is tastefully decorated and quite new, directly on the ocean and many rooms and chalets come with an ocean view. The restaurant (breakfast included and also you can enjoy lunches and dinner there) overlooks the wonderful bay, with great views. Chalets are spread out over the territory, there is also a parking lot for car park. The hotel is located between old and new Teriberka, so if you want to see any of the villages, you need a car, or walk. There are no public taxis there, so you will have to ask at reception for some kind of transport, or drive yourself if you have a car. The drive up Teriberka takes 2 hours on a quite ok road, so it is probably worth to come by car.||||They have nice common areas that you can sit in with view onto the ocean. Aurora borealis can be viewed from indoor or just stepping out the back door to the ocean/beach. We arrived and we saw it, so perfect place to view it - if its out, you definitely dont have to book an expensive tour to see it. The hotel location is great for it already.||||2) Chalet. We stayed in a chalet with mountain view, which was very comfortable. Large living area with panoramic windows, 2 double rooms, with each of them having a bathroom. Wood floors and some carpet in living room, heaters. Plenty of hot water (no idea that you can run out even thouch we shower a lot and long). We stayed in winter (January) so it was quite cold, but the heaters work very well. Very fluffy bathrobes are provided. TV, fridge and electro tea pot in the room, glasses, cups, bowls, plates, dishware, so very well equipped. All just a short walk to the main building.||||3) Restaurant/Breakfast.||Restaurant serves all meals (breakfast was included in the price). Panoramic windows so basically from anywhere in the restaurant you will have a terrific view. Because of panoramic windows, it can get quite cold in winter and the heaters do not heat it up fully, so do take your jackets or warm clothes to eat. ||||Breakfast is buffet style, good selection, does not change, so everyday the same, but good amount of different things, so it will not get boring.||||Dinners are served a la carte, rather small menu, and portions a bit small, but food is very good. Prices are relatively high (compared to other Russian regions). Selection for alcoholic beverages is small, basically vodka and otherwise wine by the bottle, by the glass only very limited selection until they run out. Very good fruit teas. Friendly staff. Credit card payment possible.||||4) Activities: ||||- Tour through Teriberka (with a local) which was very nice, you will go to the Berents sea, waterfall in case weather permits, the old and new village, a reindeer and husky farm, beaches, and we also stopped by the brewery. Price was 7000 RUB for ca. 4 hours by car for 3 people.||||- Winter snorcheling. You get wet suits and can snorchel the waters on the beach. Make sure you understand the price, we got activity price 4000 RUB per person sent to us before the trip (it was said instructor doesnt go in with you but shows you how to put on the equipment), when we booked, the instructor in the end went with us inside and then the cost was 6000 RUB. So just understand beforehand what you book/pay for.||||- Sauna on the shore. Nice newly built sauna (currently still finishing up) great views and good sized sauna and room to chill/incl. karaoke. 4.500 RUB per hour per group (I think max 6 people). There is also a jacuzzi on terrace, but that is paid extra.||||- Snowmobile tours (we didnt try that but you can do that, infos at reception.||- Kite boarding (but only from February) so we didnt try it||||5) Surroundings/Location.||It is a plus for aurora borealis to be in between villages but generally consider there is no shop close by, so you have to walk into town to buy snacks or basic necessities. Given food in restaurant is quite expensive, if you need a cheaper snack, stop by the store or if you can bring already a good backup from Murmansk (snacks and also alcoholic beverages). The hotel provides mini grillers (mangals) where you can do your own barbecue.||||7) Phone/Wifi. Phone service is working, but mobile internet did not work for us (Beeline). Wifi works very well in the main areas (main building/hotel/reception/restaurant) but in the chalets the wifi signal is so-so. It is free though!||||8) Pet policy.||We travelled this time without our pets (bunnies) but we thought about bringing them. You can bring pets in the chalets, but not to the main hotel.||||Overall a great place and compared to the other tour bases in the villages probably the closest to a European style accommodation. Staff is very friendly, place is very clean. The prices are quite high though and also closer to European standards, so this is comething to consider. Also check before the prices for the activities. To get there, the hotel offers a transfer for 7000 RUB (for us 3 people) there is a bus going which is leaving from Murmansk train and bus station which costs ca 600 RUB per person and is there (in winter) in ca 3 hours. If you want private car transfer, you can try Maxim taxi (a local app like UBER) and we paid on the way back 3000 RUB for 3 people (given here driver came up from Murmansk and drove with us back, one way by car 2hours). So I recommend to arrange your own transport in case you would like to save some money.||||I recommend this place, and its likely we...
