Honestly, the hotel is just ok. It's trying to be modern, but the overall experience is about what you would get at a Best Western in a small town. Things I liked: 1. The hotel is clean. The cleaning ladies do their job really well. 2. The location is good, close enough to the touristy spots. 3. An electric kettle, a small fridge, an iron and an ironing board in the room. These turned out to be more convenient than I anticipated. Things I did not care for: 1. The staff's enthusiasm, or rather, lack thereof. At least they need to smile more to make their guests feel welcome. 2. Unreasonable charges and unwillingness to accommodate to their guests' needs. We booked it about a week in advance and had to pay twice the normal rate, with no breakfast included (it's pricey, too, in my opinion, about $20 a person, if I remember correctly). On top of that we got a room with two TINY single beds. When we asked for another room we were turned down. Also, even though I read somewhere online that late checkout is free, it's not. 3. The rooms are a little dated. 4. Their free wifi is not too bad, but there is a hard limit on the number of devices. If you have connected more than two, that's it. You can't even reset and remove your device from the list, so be sure to connect your most used devices first. I wouldn't say the connection is slow, but it's certainly not fast by modern standards, especially in a city like Moscow. Overall, I think I will eschew staying in Radisson hotels in Russia from this point on. I have stayed at the Radisson Sonya in St Petersburg, and while the customer service there was much better, the rooms were also quite dated and the hotel is not good value,...
Read moreI stayed at this hotel years ago and had a good experience, which is why I decided to come back. Big mistake. Clearly, things have gone downhill. This time around, I was met with obvious bias and disrespect. Due to unstable flight schedules to Russia, I arrived earlier than planned and asked—willing to pay, of course—if early check-in was possible. The staff kept stringing me along, saying "soon," then "come back at 11:30–12:00," and so on.||While waiting, I saw them check in a Russian couple who arrived much later than I did. So what is this—if you're not Russian, you get ignored and pushed aside? Completely unacceptable. This is no way to treat guests. Extremely disappointed with the staff's behavior and attitude. I won’t be recommending this place to...
Read moreI have received a room with smocked air and dirty bathroom floor with stains. Then they gave me the second room with fresh air but with hairs on the shower floor. When I have complained they said they did not have any other room for me and sent a cleaning lady to my room. The cleaning lady just vacuum cleaned the floor in the shower, so it felt like I’ve got a salad with a hair in a restaurant, complained and a waiter would just take this hair out and put the plate back in front of me...
Besides that sound isolation of rooms is quite bad because I could clearly listen to the phone calls of my neighbors. On top of it, the rooms are not well maintained. See the photos,...
