I stayed in this hotel for 11 nights & must say its not a 4 star property. Bed sheet of my room was not replaced and it was kept same all days. Air conditioner was not working on first night of my check-in and they fixed it next day. Next day onwards there was lot of noise through the air conditioner duct of room. Most of the staff at reception is rude and hardly any staff understand English, which they have misguided through their website that their staff speaks English. Wifi will suddenly stop working and the lan internet wire of the room has stopper malfunctioning. During all days of the buffet breakfast, they had kept a sticker on the bread toaster that it is out of order. You have to pay for the room service food bill at the time of delivery of food in your room as they have not got the system to add the food bill in room and seek payment at the time of check-out. If you order food in room service and pay by cash, they do not have the change. If you pay at the reception before hand, they will ask money repeatedly on another day saying that the bill was not paid by you. They have done misrepresentation on the invoice that they provide complimentary late check-out & room upgrade service as both of them were not provided to me despite expressly asking. Moreover housekeeping started banging my room at sharp 12 pm on the day...
Read moreNow to put this in context first, we have stayed at Azimut in Smolenskaya and it was amazing. Really loved it. Staff were great, rooms were great. Now we know this place was not meant to be as good. But we had so many issues with service. Did not receive towels or slippers for 2 people, only for 1. We asked for more and got 3 bath mats for the shower. And then we had to ask for towels again the second night and they brought us 1 robe. The room was small and the bathroom and toilet format were also really awkwardly apart. The servings for room service were so small for the price. It was not a very bad experience, but it was not as good as the other Azimuts. I would say for the price it is slightly over-rated. My wife was not happy with the fact that me as a foreigner was not told in advance to keep my immigration registration receipt with me although I should have known. I think maybe for future reference they let incoming guests know this. It was a shame, I would try Azimut again, but maybe not this one. I hope they will improve from this feedback. We stayed Crown Plaza near 1905 last time we were in Moscow so its...
Read moreI am on a solo around the world motorcycle trip. I broke my ankle just south of Moscow and was able to get the bike to the Azimut. I went in to the doctor the next day and had surgery the day after that. This hotel really saved me. The entire staff from the front desk to the security people helped a lot with the motorcycle, the luggage, and the issues with getting to and from the doctor and hospital. I’ve travelled to hundreds of US and European hotels and what these guys did for me went way, way beyond what a hotel would normally do. In particular Dmitry and Andrey were instrumental in helping me get the bike and luggage to long term storage. Neither would accept a tip for the help they rendered leaving me seriously in their debt. I am carefully continuing my journey from here in a week, but these men showed outstanding hospitality, friendship, and grace and I won’t forget that.
Obviously I am a huge fan of this hotel. On a more mundane note the accommodations were...
