The only good thing about this hotel is the location... just 2 blocks from the new city mall.||||Check in is painstakingly slow as there is only one staff and she takes about 30 minutes per person.||||Rooms are huge empty spaces with small desk, spotty internet, no kettle, no coffee and horrible bathrooms.||||Air con in the first room I had did not cool at all. (it was +30C outside). Second room the air con did cool, but intermittently every 2-3 minutes emitted a loud buzzing noise like an alarm clock, thereby preventing sleep. Lots of noise from outside so sleeping with windows open also not an option. Asked to change to another room where the air con works and was refused.||||During the first room change there was no help from staff. Go to reception, get new key, go to old room, get bags, go to new room, go back to reception. Absolutely no customer service and not even an effort. ||||The water in the bathroom stinks of sewage. No complimentary drinking water available. Only one small bottle in mini-bar, at 10x mark up. ||||The shower module was most amazing. It managed to spray about 1/2 of the water on the ceiling and to drain all of the used water onto the bathroom floor but no water came out of the shower head! The spray nozzle on a hose was broken (probably in 1974) as were the shower controls, so one had a choice of hot and hotter. All of this with the sewage smelling water. Lovely. ||||So, surly staff, soviet attitude, no service, rotten facilities, nothing works, and an awful smell to cap it off. ...
Read moreThe hotel is located right in the center of the city. Rooms are well-equipped. But there are things that you won't experience in a hotel. I came to the hotel after long working day and all I wanted is just to relax for several hours before my flight to Moscow. First of all, I was given a room of a lower category. I booked a big single room through my employer, but upon arriving to the hotel, I was given an ordinary single room. It was OK, but I wanted a bigger one. Secondly, the hotel is quite small itself, it has a big restaurant on the second floor. And there was a farewell party for local university students, so until my departure from the hotel in the early morning they were celebrating their graduation with loud music, drunk voices and everything that could accompany a student party. ||I didn't sleep that night at all, and I think it's unacceptable when you cannot sllep at the hotel. Next morning I felt myself like I visited...
Read moreI can really recommend visiting this property for business (or even leisure). The overall quality of services is fabulous for Siberia. The price is not a bargain but it's usual for the region due to lack of adequate hotels.||Breakfast is quite good and tasty. The restaurant has a diverse menu and it's worth trying for dinner. The location is in the city centre.||The room (standard single) is well decorated and is equipped with standard size fridge called "mini bar", there are also bathrobe and slippers in all rooms. I've noticed two drawbacks that require improvements. First of all, there are no blackout curtains and it makes the room too bright in the summer evening. Sunrise at 5 am can also easily wake you up. The second thing is very cheap bathroom amenities, so better bring your own shampoo...
