Building without a Heart This sums up my experience in this hotel. If you are looking for a new building with furniture, then this is the place, but if you are looking for human interaction and services, the worst place you can ever be is AlJoon Hotel in Riyadh, Saudi.
Services - don't count on the hotel staff nor management to fulfill your staying needs starting from the towel, cleaning, daily maintenance, vacuum and so forth. Especially if you are in for the monthly stay, the Building pretty much Neglect you and do nothing. They assume you are in for a monthly base rate you are not titled to any services and disrespected. They forget to recognize that you are a preferred customer locking in a guaranteed long term duration and money. Instead of looking to make you feel welcome, they succeed to make you stay feel like unwelcome and unwanted.
The saddest thing about this, is that when you though you made your complaint to top management and they promised you the will get issues fixed finally when you time comes to an end at the hotel management goes back on their promises. So no where to go.
I have been around hotels in Riyadh, they all service monthly rate guests on two day bases.
So in this Building, you are not a guest, you are, you are, you are just unwanted.

You think you are in a hotel daily service but they only service and clean the room once and maybe twice if lucky per week. You have to bargain to get an extra pillow or blanket.
They would not give me an extra blanket for my two year old in the winter season because I am in a one bedroom apartment. To get a pillow I had to exchange it with one of the ones I have in the room.
Lazy recipients, loud, unfriendly and always yelling, calling name and mistreat the labors and cleaners. When we ask they to clean the room they send the Vaccum for us to do it ourselves.
I finally decided to get my own apartment, may as well, less and no service.
ان شاء الله لن اعود لمثل هذا الفندق و لا...
Read moreFor the prices of the rooms here at Al Joon, i think service was barely acceptable. We were guest of 2 but there was only 1 towel and we had to request for another, which took 40 minutes. After checking with front desk, we were told that the housekeeper forgot about the request. Fortunately they came through. Wifi signal was weak (2 bars) and disappear in certain corners of the room.
There was no shower gel but only soap. Hot water for shower was there but fridge was unplugged and not in use.
Lastly, the bed and pillows were very hard. Bed i am fine, but pillow almost gave me a stiff neck if continue the stay. If you take it as an adventure, you will...
