Howard Johnson by Wyndham Dammam — Hotel in Eastern Province

One of the best sea hotels with a sea view room , can be considered a star hotel if few things are changed to standard levels. The reception staff is horrible with master slaves insane psychological traits not caring for the comfort of the guests. For instance we asked for the same offer that booking.com offers but reception staff demanded far more rates than b.com offered with less amnesties for cash payment ; after failing to make him understand the direct benefits for his company , we restored back to b com offers and he accepted it . I want to rate this facility with a 5 Star because other staff are excellent like the maintenance staff and the Jordanian security who provide guidance and recommendations about tourist spots and restaurants. Tea coffee water supplies are very limited since I had my own there was no problem for me . Found a broken kitchen cabinet leaking electrical kettle but still I loved it because it's in a premium location and the rate is attractive. I wish to come back again and hope the management would not underestimate the potentials for an urgent uplifting of this...

*Cons. :

The reception staff (Riyadh) kept the reception without any attandace for 30 min at 6 pm 6 customers were waiting and even the manager could not do any thing because he don t know how to use the system.

Also, swimming pool is indoor and only can be used from 9 am to 4 pm which is very limited time.

A/C in the rooms were too much hot and need long time to get cold.

Parking area is limited and may be little difficult.

Place is near to the beach.

There is bell boy called (qasim) he is an amazing and will help you in every thing better than the manager even.

*Advices:

If you want to reserve a room. It is better to be sea beach but this will cost you little more.

Swimming pool is indoor in the ground floor and open from 9 am to 4 pm.

Requested late check-in and late check-out before coming. But after my review they cancelled the late check-out. So they told us to go 12noon. I gave bad review because eventhough we came 8pm room was not ready. King bed was like double bed and light in bathroom was flickering. They change room. Room was for disabled, and had broken peep hole. I put tissue to cover the hole. No toothbrush and only one slipper, only one big towel eventhough we book for 2. Sink water was closed. When we dequested coffee at cafe they gave the coffee in paper cup. No buffet, 1st question from waiter was "cheese or vegies" without telling us what it was for. And you like sausage?. We did have bad experience but the man from our check in was the only one who apologized. The receptionist told us to leave eventhough we requested late checkout before even coming to the hotel.
