Overall, I had a bad experience. The handwash dispenser was broken before we checked in. Despite complaining about it from day 1, the maintenance guy was sent on 4th day after reminding the reception multiple times. Nobody used to pick the phone at the reception. Water bottles were only kept when we checked in. There was no supply on the days following. The worst experience we had was on our last day when we checked out before fajr so that after offering Fajr at Haram, we can leave as soon as possible for our flight from Jeddah at around 10.30am. We left our handcarry luggage with the hotel for just fajr prayers. On our way back with the shuttle bus service, the driver refused us to get on the bus and demanded the room card, which we didn't have as we already checked out. If only we knew this would happen we would have kept the card and not checked out, but we were never asked for the room card before. He misbehaved alot. In the end we told him we can give him proof of our stay in the hotel when he'll drop us there. Afterwards, he took so much time there and we were getting late for the airport. Still he stopped 2 times before dropping us to the hotel for random passengers he took on his bus, which further caused us delay. When we reached the hotel, the reception staff on duty changed and the new guy there made us wait endlessly as he told us that the guy who can get us our luggage has gone for a room check out. He was not calling anyone despite us telling him we need to leave and reach Jeddah airport for our flight. He even told us that it is not his mistake that we are not getting our luggage. Very bad...

At first glance, this hotel seems pretty flash the lobby looks decent, check-in is smooth enough, and you get the feeling you’re in for a comfortable stay. But that illusion fades very quickly.
The food is just about passable nothing you'd look forward to, the dinner timings are awkward and inconvenient, room service simply doesn’t exist.
The room cards stop working randomly, which means more trips down to reception than you'd like. And if you’re unlucky enough to need the basement laundry, prepare yourself. The area is creepy, dark, and there were actual dead pigeons near the windows. The machines look like they belong in a museum — pre-WWI, genuinely. One of them gave me a mild shock when I accidentally touched the metal. Safe? Absolutely not.
Drinking water is strictly limited, like they’re rationing it for wartime. The windows let in all the street noise, and to top it off, the curtains are filthy and dust covered you'd sneeze just looking at them.
The toilet papers and tissue is so cheap and thin, you’d be better off buying your own.
Now for the lifts if you're caught in a peak time, forget about getting one easily. I figured out that if you walk up to the mezzanine and press the down button, you might get an empty one coming down. People just press both call buttons think they will get a lift then end up paying a visit to other floors
Honestly, the hotel is one where everything looks great in the background but doesn’t actually work. Major letdown. Would not want stay again or will be...
Read moreThe pros: Exceptional hotel, very comfortable bed and pillows, quiet and peaceful and staff are courteous and polite. We asked for a late checkout which was honoured by an hour. A luggage storage facility kept our luggage and there are many shops and restaurants around the hotel. I particularly loved the fresh flowers in the lobby 😻 The cons: the WiFi is extremely slow, hot water in the shower is minimal and barely enough for one person, the bus services are very slow. Takes 1-2 hours to reach haram and then it’s another 20 minute walk to the main gate of the haram. To find the busses after are a problem. On two occasions the busses did not even reach the haram and dropped us off at the jamaraatbus station which then you pay 8 riyal per person for another bus...
