Centro Salama by Rotana — Hotel in Makkah Region

The hotel is fantastic. I have enjoyed staying in the hotel. The breakfast is wonderful. They serve a variety of food items. Also, the room servicing and housekeeping are quite nice. Adding to that, the reception personnel were so polite and very welcoming.

However, I have some points to clarify. First, regarding the housekeeping point, an excellent hotel must not miss some details like not providing tissue boxes for more than three sequential nights unless asked to. Also, bed covers must always be changed every day without the need of requesting. Second, the climate temperature of the preyer room is not satisfactory beside there is no any AC control means over there. Moreover, during night-time-mandatory prayers (Mughrib and Isha) music was played as a reason of party or somewhat is going on which is not good behavior and ethics from the guests and the hotel itself. Third, the shower head spray of the bathroom is not featured with another shower hand spray. This is actually so annoying specially for those whom want to wash their underneath efficiently. Furthermore, there is no liquid hand soap to wash handsoap. Forth, the swimming pool is not working and under servicing. This has to be compensated somehow because we already made our reservations while swimming pool was mentioned there in the room description as one of the room features.

Overall, I am still innthe hotel, and I am having a great experience over here. I can say the technique used for servicing is beyond extraordinary that I don’t have to raise the telephone handle to request and explain my needs. All I have to do is to use that room QR code, and then everything will get sorted. all I can say is thank you so much for this great feature that made me so happy during my stay in the hotel. This hotel is clean, very clean. The room was impeccable on arrival and the staff took no chances with sanitation. In current circumstances, one would expect the highest standards in general hygiene and contamination prevention. The hotel staff were clearly up to that challenge. I was perfectly satisfied with their efforts to keep my stay as safe as possible. I was on half board and I was told that due to the current state of affairs, I would be served breakfast and lunch/dinner in my room. I wasn't particularly pleased at first, but the restaurant staff were very responsive to my food wishes (except when it came to ordering an omelette, but it's all right). Breakfast was average, but lunch/dinner was excellent: soup + salad + main course + dessert. The food tasted well and portions were generous. The room was smallish, but good enough for a business hotel--and the mattress was so incredibly comfortable. Acoustic isolation was fine, not perfect, but there was nothing serious enough to complain about. I'd complain about the wash basin, though. As a previous reviewer noted, it's very small and shallow, generally keeping up whatever is supposed to go down. Not the nicest thing you'd see but not a deal breaker either. The staff were very polite, professional, and helpful. Hachem was the receptionist who handled my check-in and check-out and I thank him for having been so nice to me.
