We recently spent two nights at Rixos Obhur Jeddah and overall had a satisfying and enjoyable stay. The resort definitely holds a lot of promise, and we would consider revisiting in the future. However, as the property is still in its soft opening phase, there are a few critical points worth highlighting for both management and future guests. Highlights • The swimming pool is truly the heart of the resort and easily became our favorite spot. Its design, ambiance, and overall vibe are what made us fall in love with the place. • Act 1 was a great experience at night with a lively atmosphere and entertaining DJs. • Orient Restaurant delivered excellent food and service. We were impressed by the quality and presentation. • In general, the food across the resort was good, and the staff was friendly. Areas Needing Improvement 1. Breakfast Buffet The variety and quality of the breakfast options were below expectations for a resort of this caliber. More diversity and better execution would elevate the morning experience. 2. Housekeeping & Communication On our second night, we tried to reach reception, front desk, and housekeeping multiple times without success. We even called the hotel’s landline and spoke to reservations just to relay our request, but unfortunately, that also went unresolved. This lack of communication is concerning and needs urgent attention. 3. Construction & Design Issues While the property is aesthetically pleasing in many areas, some finishes still feel incomplete or rushed. Most importantly, the bathtub/shower design is a serious safety concern — the edge is very high, making it easy to trip and potentially injure oneself. This is a critical issue that should be addressed immediately as it does not meet acceptable safety standards. 4. Turquoise Restaurant The food was generally good, but the live pasta station was frustrating. Our order was either delayed, came with incorrect ingredients, or was completely missed — largely due to uncoordinated handovers between chefs. Improving the ordering and tracking system here would make a big difference. 5. Poolside Experience While we loved the pool, some sunbeds were missing shade covers, and certain palm trees clearly need maintenance or replacement. Adding more greenery and ensuring shade availability would enhance comfort greatly. One issue we found particularly unpleasant was the pool bar: drinks and fruits were allowed inside the pool, which led to accidents where guests spilled food and drinks in the water. This is not only unhygienic but also detracts from the luxurious feel. We’d strongly recommend restricting food and drink to areas outside the pool. 6. All-Inclusive Wristbands The constant checking for wristbands and room numbers felt excessive and intrusive at times. While we understand the need for verification, it disrupted the flow of the experience. Moreover, the wristbands themselves are not comfortable for extended wear, especially when wet. A better system — or at least a more discreet and comfortable solution — would greatly improve the guest experience. Final Thoughts Rixos Obhur Jeddah is a beautiful property with tremendous potential. With attention to detail and a few operational improvements, it can easily become a premier destination in Jeddah. We left with great memories and look forward to seeing how the resort evolves in the future

Ladies and gentlemen, I’m going to get straight to the point. I did my homework before booking the villa at this resort a week in advance. I came with my wife to check out the place. We got a decent tour of the rooms and one of the villas don’t get me started about the smell in the hallway in the hotels. I was very specific in my reservations. I’ve requested a villa with the bedroom on the ground floor because of a special need family member on the day of the check-in I waited 20 minutes to be checked in when we managed to get checked in we proceeded to the villa Shockingly. There was no bedroom in the ground floor and it’s stated in the reservation. Try to call reception from the villa phones were not working what a shock my kids and I started walking back to the reception in the scorching heat and when I asked the lady I’ve requested a villa With a ground bedroom she checked in the computer and she told me you’re right it took them 45 minutes. It was so disappointing. Very frustrating to keep my kids 45 minutes in a lobby. Totally unacceptable and unprofessional. There was a hospitality or Duty Manager named Shahad Alghamdi. She was very professional. She tried literally her very best to go above and beyond to meet our needs. She managed to secure as she said a premium villa because the villa we booked was occupied. Anyhow, as a piece of advice if a person request something specially for special needs and it’s been booked a week in advance have the courtesy to provide it if you’re unable get in touch with them and for the employees, they should check their system properly and check the remarks or notes if there is any so they don’t waste the customer’s time, I was informed that the hotel is brand new. It’s been open for two months from the staff. I’ll provide a couple of pictures show how new and clean it is. To sum up things, ladies and gentlemen special thanks to Mr. Khaled Aseeri and chef. Muradi aljohani, mr. Kalid thank you for being so attentive and trying to help out. I’m going to extra mile truly to make our stay a pleasant one. Special thanks to the chef she made one of the best eggs Benedict I’ve had in Jeddah. Special thing to executive chef who I spoke with and highlighted few items regarding the buffet. Thank you to all the staff. I wish you guys keep up the good work. You have amazing hospitality a few hiccups and flaws. You’ll get there. You truly amazing and please put some fans for the staff at the front of the hotel in the heat is unforgiven I feel sorry for them And the staff walking around fans with blowing mist. It helps it goes a long way, especially in the summer.

I visited Rixos Obhur with my sister and our children in July. We stayed at the hotel in a room and a suite overlooking the pool. We originally planned to stay for three nights, but we were having such a wonderful time that we extended our stay by another five nights. The reception staff, without exception, were extremely friendly and welcoming. We checked in with Mr. Yaser, who was very professional and cooperative. We were lucky to receive a complimentary upgrade to a larger suite. The check-in process was smooth and our luggage was delivered to our rooms promptly. The rooms were very comfortable, with high-quality furniture and modern amenities. They were equipped with large TVs offering a wide range of channels for all ages, as well as touch switches for convenience. The bathrooms were spacious and practical, and the room décor was beautiful and calming. We were impressed by the excellent service at the restaurants. We enjoyed the buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and we also tried the Turkish restaurant near the beach. In both places, the food was delicious and beautifully prepared, with a wide variety of dishes to choose from. The waiters were outstanding and did their best to accommodate all our needs. Special thanks to Mr. Dahalal and Mr. Rahmatu Allah for their exceptional service. The pools were large and very enjoyable. We also loved the drinks served by the pool and at the beach, along with the excellent service provided by the staff there. Last but not least, our children had a wonderful time at the kids’ club and the stage where the band performed dances. They also loved the musical performances in the lobby and enjoyed the drinks at Dulci Café. Overall, our stay was amazing and we look forward to visiting Rixos again!

We have just recently returned from the wonderful Rixos Obhur Jeddah. ||We were slightly disappointed to find out on arrival at the hotel was still within its Soft Opening stage as we had been led to believe when booking via Accor that it was going to be fully opened. However, we will not dwell on this because we had the most amazing time regardless. ||As a frequent visitor to Rixos hotels, we were excited as we are acutely aware that the quality of hotels and amazing staff is second to none…and Rixos Obhur Jeddah did not disappoint!||The hotel is an all-inclusive resort and it is alcohol free which was actually quite nice (there were 0% lagers and mocktails though). ||Now, what makes this hotel “5*”? Is it the location; possibly, is it the grounds; maybe, is it the staff; absolutely! We cannot explain how wonderful the staff were and how they were wanting to go above and beyond for us. ||Turquoise Restaurant: |The food here was amazing and the selection was brilliant. It was really fresh and it was really well run. Granted, it was not very busy (which was nice) but even if this place was at capacity, it would still run seamlessly. The absolute star of this place is Hari! What a wonderful human being he is. He made sure our stay was nothing short of amazing. So welcoming, attentive and all to ensure that we had the most memorable time. Its difficult to put into words how brilliant he was and Rixos Obhur Jeddah have a gem there. ||Hari was also supported by the wonderful Hazim. In addition, a massive thank you to Sherry who always looked after us and created a lovely bond with our two children. Likewise, Jameela and Nusaba (who were on the fresh pasta and omelette station) were just amazing. They were so wonderful with the kids and carried out their work with a smile. Thank you also to Hazin, Khalil and Arifa.||Housekeeping|Wajid and Ahmed from housekeeping were simply brilliant. They went above and beyond whenever we needed the room serviced. They work so hard and Ahmed made our room spectacular! The attention to detail was second to none. ||Dulce|Just a hop across the hallway from Turquoise you found yourself in the real hidden gem that is Dulce Café. We probably spent an inordinate amount of time here because it was fabulous. Cakes, pastries, iced coffee’s, latte’s, snacks and again, amazing staff. Alexandra, Shazodakhon, Saudi, Maria, Ahmad, Megna and Raghad were just all so welcoming and friendly! They were genuinely so attentive and enthusiastic as well as providing great tips on places to visit whilst we were there. The vibe was really chilled and casual with music at various intervals and was perfect for a mid-afternoon snack or after dinner coffee. ||Orient Restaurant|We dined at Orient three times across our two weeks and whilst all three nights were amazing, the food on the second occasion was just beyond belief. It was one of those meals that you did not want to end. The freshness of the food prepared by Areej Al-Sharif was just magnificent and all of the staff were brilliant there. Alexandra (who was also at Dulce) was again magnificent as to was Mohammed-Sharif and Nadia. ||Rixy Club|Our two children (aged 8 and 7) really did enjoy this Rixy club and it was massive in comparison to others that we have seen! It really shows that Rixos are seeing how important the kids club is. We had to persuade our children not to go otherwise we would not have seen them!! Our children really were taken with Malaika, Amal and Lamar so thank you for taking such good care of the children. Nadia was also very welcoming and led the team really well. ||Act 1 Bar|The entertainment here was actually somewhat of a surprise because it was really really good! DJ was great and the performers were just amazing. We were really engaged and they were super talented. We enjoyed four evenings there and each time there was something different. Bob, Saul and Ashin were full of energy and again really attentive. ||Beach |Being candid, the beach did not live up to expectations (we have been to Saadiyat Island so not much does now) but we were saved by the wonderful Loretto and Good Luck, who, despite working tirelessly in the incredible heat, were so attentive and worked with a genuine smile on their face. Simply brilliant. ||Pool Bar|I started off by talking about the star that is Hari and I wanted to finish about the absolute star in the Pool Bar…Sayed! Sayed along with Paul, Daniel and Ahmed Morsey ran the pool bar to perfection. However, Sayed needs special recognition because he is everything that you want in an employee. Energetic, fun, professional and passion for what he does is hard to find and he should be commended by Rixos. ||Words do not do it justice so you have to see it...
