We stayed at Bolongs passion for two nights. The positives: the view from the restaurant is nice, it is conveniently located for the beach and town, and the owner helped arrange transport. The negatives: No door on the bathroom meant no privacy when using the toilet or shower, poor WiFi which only works in the restaurant, a mosquito net which hadn’t been cleaned and was covered in dead mosquitos which landed all over the bed when we tried to use it on the first night. All of the above were tolerable. What wasn’t tolerable was the private party at the restaurant that went on till after 2am on our second night (which we hadn’t been informed would be happening despite it being booked before we arrived). This meant we couldn’t sleep due to the loud music thumping through our room. We requested that the volume was turned down at midnight and we were ignored. Then when we raised it the next morning the owner was rude and dismissive, arrogantly saying there was nothing he could have done about it. He didn’t offer any apology for our inconvenience despite knowing we had to be up at 7am for a long journey to The Gambia. Overall a disaster of a stay and the worst stay we had in Senegal...

You could sit in a nice garden and enjoy huh anyway even if the water was not there. We also got decent dinner. The host was a Belgian, and he and his wife took...
