Run by a very responsive, accommodating and gracious couple who can speak English.||It is in the Oukham neighborhood, near the divinity mosque and not far from the Africa monument. There are a few inexpensive restaurants within a 5 minute walk but it is a fairly quiet area of Dakar. ||The house has four guest rooms, a small pool, and a large, attractive common area which no one seemed to be leveraging when I was there. Wifi is good for Senegal and works in the room.||Rooms have AC, hot water and a tv. Decor is simple. Bed comfortable although it is reminiscent of university with a mattress on a low, wooden platform. ||Shower is hot. Pressure could be better but it was acceptable. The hallway doesn't muffle sound so it isn't conducive to sleeping past 9 or midday naps but it is perfectly fine for typical sleeping hours. ||Breakfast is available for I think it was 2500 CFA and includes bread, croissant, juice, coffee and an egg. When taxi driver called to ascertain exact location of La Villa Blanche Samba the owner was ‘unaware’ of our reservation and arrival. He said that the email from Expedia went to his spam folder. Vrai! Its happens. ||||He offered us to overnight in his private quarters a guestroom (I must say quite a neat place) Samba finally came through after several efforts/proposals. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They helped me get taxis several times. Also it is about 3 blocks from Yum Yum pizza. I got in late and I was really tired but hungry. Solomon walked me all the way to Yum Yum pizza. I brought a pizza back and relaxed and got to bed early.
