Hotel 1000 Ruža — Hotel in City of Belgrade

We are regular guests of hotel's restaurant. The place (restaurant) is spacious. The restaurant's exterior (summer garden) is beautiful with lots of greenery, big old pine trees and children's playground.There is a big free-of-charge parking lot for both restaurant and hotel's guests which is a big plus.The interior of restaurant is nice, typical for a hotel restaurant. WC is downstairs, clean and tidy. As many people have already noticed, service is not that good. It really depends on day - more guests = less quality service. Once, there was a wedding there and we were waiting for 40min. before we just left because there was no one willing to take our order! Unbelievable. As for food, it was always of standard quality, tasty and plentiful. We recommend Karadjordjeva steak, salads, baked beans (prebranac), pumpkin potage (creamy soup), home made bread, peppers filled with cheese. There is no mistake there.This restaurant is a bit expensive for average Serbian guest but very affordable for foreigners. It would be great place only if it had more of...

This is a very cozy and relaxed place. It is a 3 star hotel with excellent restaurant and nice service. It is situated on the outer ring around the city of Belgrade near the base of mountain Avala (in community of Believe Potok). In beautiful landscape and serenity you can really relax and recuperate. The food is excellent, prices are low for Belgrade. The hotel has a children's playground, which is very nice. Also, it has a large number of parking spaces and a petrol station (literally next door), so gas is not a problem. It is abit far from downtown (approximately 20km via highway E75, or via Banjica community) but the local bus stop is 200m from the hotel (bus no. 402 that goes to Slavia square - goes every 20 minutes). Also it is a very good base camp if you decide to take a hike to Avala summit or enjoy beautiful forest, packed with ice cold watter springs (or even see Belgrade from atop Avala TV tower!). Very bad experience, they put me on bungalow even though the hotel was booked by my company... very bad smell tiny space for the same price as hotel rooms. No one was changing towels and taking trash unless i went to reception and asked. No cleaning aswell. After 1 week they gave me a room at the hotel which looked much better but the ac is broken. It is very hot, there is an outdoor pool but they will open it on November ??? Restaurant food is decent but waiters are rude. I would give less than one star but...
