5 star Turkish, this is not UK 5 star. Still a very acceptable clean hotel with hardworking staff, who we found extremely helpful and friendly. ||Food very good with lots of choices for all tastes. ||Rooms, we booked side sea view. Would highly recommend this. Ours faced the port of Marmaris, beautiful view of boats and mountains behind. ||Room spacious with balcony, mini bar/fridge( drinks from it chargeable but 2 bottles water included daily in room) hairdryer in room and free safety deposit box. TV with English speaking news channel and British drama channel. Dressing gown, slippers and loads of toiletries in the room to use. ||Air con very good. ||Free Wi-Fi around the hotel, can be a bit hit and miss and slow. Found reception area the best signal. It was adequate. ||Beach towels supplied daily. ||All inclusive drinks, bit disappointing, limited choice and quality of the local drinks.||unlimited bottled water from the bars and restaurant. ||Family run Hairdresser/ stylist in hotel was exceptionally skilled. very reasonably priced. A ladies cut only £15. Other body treatments available. ||The downside for us was the extremely loud bass music in the pool bar area and beachside that started at 10am until late into the evening. Evening shows started at 10pm.||7am is the best time to sit on the beach listening to the sea before the music begins, slightly spoiled by the music from the Irish Bar next door that starts about 8ish. We tolerated the hotel music for a few days and on occasions they turned the bass down at our request, which we appreciated. ||Feel this hotel caters more for younger peoples music choice. ||Their is a quiet pool ( no music) and also a bar/ seating area near reception, ( occasionally a piano player) so you can escape the heavy bass music. We compromised, but missed out on the beautiful sea view and evening entertainment. ||Water sports activities can be booked adjacent to the hotel, prices negotiable. We went parasailing £70 for two including video and photos. Considered this a good price and great experience. ||Everywhere appeared happy to take either £,€,$ and Turkish lira. ||A minor thing but If you arrive late at night, no food is available unless you pay for room service. In the past other hotels have left a snack in the room. Might be worth them...
Read moreI will never, never, never book this hotel again. After making the reservation I had to cancel after a few minutes. I immediately called the reception and informed that I had to cancel. I asked not to charge a fee. The lady at the reception promised to pass it on to other people, I understand decision-makers. I also informed booking, Booking wrote to the hotel not to charge me for the stay. And of course they charged a fee. I called and reminded them that I had called yesterday regarding this matter. Reply: No way, they have to charge me. Let me ask you, do you make money for your hotel services or on customers who got into trouble on the way and couldn't get there? Have you significantly increased your budget by charging a fee from a traveler for a service you did not provide? Will You still be hiding behind Booking's rules, where Booking asked you for it and...
Read moreThe welcome (dobro doshli), friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Sladjana and Mika were especially helpful when I wished to transfer to another hotel 23 miles up the road (Zrenjaninski put) on the second night I'd booked there. This was only for convenience, not a reflection on Hotel Elegance. I was delighted to return to Hotel Elegance on my third night. Lovely large and comfortable room with good air conditioning and a double bed, though I was by myself. By English standards very reasonably priced. Whilst a few miles out of Belgrade, if you're happy travelling on crowded buses it's only 150 Dinars (£1) into the central bus station. Probably cheaper than being in the centre of the city! The Serbian thunderstorm on the last night...
