Initially we were a little worried. We arrived late one night after a badly delayed flight and everything seemed a bit 'Addams Family' - large dark carved statues either side of the entrance which led into a dimly lit gothic-like reception area. However, once we had checked in the bellboy showed us to our room and WOW. We had room 108 and it was huge, bright and beautifully fit out with the biggest bed we have ever seen, it must have been at least 8' wide. Everything in terms of the presentation of the room and bathroom, fittings, furnishings, finishes etc was absolutely spot on, stylish and good quality. The bathroom was superb and positively glowed with cleanliness. The hotel was absolutely silent all night and the bed extremely comfortable for a great night's sleep.||Breakfast was served outside on the terrace in the morning sunshine which was lovely. There was a choice of omelette, ham & eggs or bacon & eggs with orange juice, tea or coffee and bread and preserves. The breakfast waitress was absolutely charming and the whole experience was a delight.||Location-wise the hotel is quite a way out of the city if you want to go sightseeing but there are buses stoping on the road right outside. On the plus side there is masses of parking available for guests. We drove from the airport and arrived well after dark and the hotel was more than a little tricky to find. Up to the exit from the highway (signed for Lasta) we were fine but thereafter you are in the suburbs and we had to stop to seek directions twice. Despite this, Noe we know where it is we wouldn't hesitate to...
Read moreLong lasting restaurant. Excellent traditional food prepared in a very honest and genuine way. Truly great recipes for all dishes. Famous, polite yet entertaining owner who often loves to serve the guests himself when he can. Beatiful garden and interior which is somehow showing its age but still charming. All settled in lovely natural environement with dedicated huge free parking. The only disapointing thing is the man made community which you experience in an effort to come to the spot. Ugly suburban houses and small businesses are not close to Hotel/restaurant but still in huge number along the bumpy narrow road. Enormous kitch and "urban" chaos is everywhere. There is obvious inability of local and town's municipality management to control and guide anyone who has a aggresive ambition, desire and god knows what else to ruin such beatiful nature with absolute lack of any taste or culture for urban living. This doesn't have anything to do with the Hotel/Restaurant itself but it does leave a bitter taste when you are coming...
Read moreWe visited restaurant. Very old place to enjoy family lunch time. Everything about this place is great. Food is delicious, starting with prosciutto, kajmak, sir, ajvar, home made bread rolls. Goat meat is something out od this place, I never eat goat meat or lamb because of the smell and taste but this was completely amazing, no smell no weird goat taste. Barbecue was good as well. Atmosphere in the dining is very pleasant, fire place, not crowded, not loud, very very nice place. Prices are not low, can put this restoran in higher price rang but worthed....
