After having been to Serbia for a week, we have had some ups and downs. The same can be said about our stay at this hotel. ||When we first arrived there, we got a room with no aircon (while it was 35-40 degrees), even though the hotel description promises it on every room. We also got no room cleaning service. When we notify the hotel staff about this, we get cleaning the next day, but then nothing again. At this point, our vacation is close to ruin. We decide to contact the booking site where we rented the rooms from and they took contact to the hotel. The hotel then lies to the booking site, saying we have been informed that you have to request room cleaning every day. We have at no point been contacted regarding this. However, contacting the booking site helped a bit, because we got a new room with aircon. ||English communication is very limited at this hotel. They have 2-3 people employed, who speak it decently, but the rest are limited to "yes", "no" and "no English". When we asked for the menu card the first day we were there, it was in Serbian. We were promised that the translated menu card would be done within a day or two, but there were no signs of an English menu card after 7 days. ||The food was also a mixed pleasure. We ate dinner at their restaurant the first and second day. Both times a disappointment. The meat was low quality and you were just waiting for some plastic to squeak between your teeth. The breakfast was pretty good though. We had "free" breakfast, which meant we could choose 1 item on the menu card, so usually, we had either an omelette with bacon or some toast with "Nutella" (eurocream). The second day we were asked what we wanted to drink and the waiter listed some options. We ended up going with some cola and juice. The next day, the manager walks up to us and tells us we have to pay for all that. Only water, tea and coffee were included in the breakfast. Something we weren't told about before that. The last day we had some of their more expensive meat. This was almost the best meat we had on our entire vacation. Perfectly prepared! Tasted extremely well. ||Next up is a complaint about the staff. One day we wanted to go to Gardos, so we had the receptionist call a taxi for us. However, the taxi was apparently the receptionist's friend (no taxi sign or license). She was nice enough to charge us 3x the normal price. We could drive to Belgrade (15 km away) for 1200 dinars with a real taxi, while she wanted 1400 dinars for 5 km. What a scam! If you go here, make sure to specify you want...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHello fellow travellers! We stayed (end of season - late August) in this hotel (which is located in a quiet suburb approximately 15 km from the center of Belgrade) for 4 nights. The travellers: One family with 3 children and one more couple. We had booked 2 rooms (1 quadruple and 1 double room) but found out that by mistake they reserved for us one apartment with 2 rooms but one WC. ||We asked for seperate rooms and after 5' Militsa from the reception (which spoke good English) sorted it out by leaving the big apartment for the family and giving another double room to the couple with no extra cost. Free brekfast was also offered to us which was great (especially when you have 3 children with you). The resort facilities include a nice indoor playroom for kids, 3 very nice and clean pools and a great restaurant. The staff was polite and some have basic knowledge of English but all are willing to help you out when needed. As stated in the title a car is needed to stay at this hotel and parking space is available in front of the hotel. The rooms are modern. Mattresses and pillows comfortable.||||As for the negatives: Loose faucets in the WC and a non working flush (had to lift everytime the top of the flush tanker in order to flush). No cleaning,or towel changing during our stay.....||||Note that the hotel has a wedding hall so it seems that the rooms where made mostly to accomodate the families of the groom and bride...||||As for the railway passing near by the hotel...it was not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOur first impression of the hotel was not very good. We got the impression that we were interrupting the staff when we wanted to check in, we did not get very much information, and the reseptionist was not very nice. We tried several time to ask for some general information, but many of the people working there seemed reluctant to spend more time than nessasary to help us. So generally, not so impressed with the service (although a few of the staff was nice). They did not clean the room during the days we were there, and we had to go ask for toiletpaper and new towels. ||||The hotel has about 8 rooms, and many of them are rented out to wedding guests (as they hold a lot of wedding receptions at the hotel). We were probably the only "outsiders" staying at the time. The night they held a wedding it felt like we were living over a night club, and we could not sleep until 2.30 am. ||||On the plus side, the room was quite clean when we came, and room is ok, although the pillows are terrible, and we were not informed that you had to turn on a swich to get hot water. Also the pool area is nice and clean. ||||The location of the hotel is quite far away, you have to walk 200 meter, take a bus, and then change to another bus to get to the city center of Belgrade. Would much rather have preferred to stay closer to the city centre (but that was...
