It's actually one of the best hostels i've stayed in. The place seemed new, every room was very clean, beds were really comfy, there are lots of amenities, they provide huge individual lockers, and they provide towels too which was a nice bonus. There are also individual power sockets for each bed, those on my bed were busted though. I had no problems with their WiFi, the connection was fast and reliable. The staff were awesome. Really friendly and helpful. The location is kind of a mixed bag. It's in a residential area so it's not centrally located. the area seemed safe, though it gets dark outside at night and most of the nearby establishments close early. It would take about 15-20 minutes by walking to the nearest attraction in Nis. It's not close to the central bus station too, it took me about 40 minutes by walking (I only walked because i had no Serbian Dinars yet and they had no ATMs at the bus station heh). The place was also pretty empty when I went mid September. I dunno if it was just because I came during the off season, but there were only four of us checked in at the entire hostel that time. maybe the atmosphere is better during peak season. i'd still recommend this place though, considering everything you get for the price. If you don't mind not being in the City Center, it's a great place to...
Read moreGood location - about 10 minutes walk to Tinker's Alley bars, just under 20 minutes walk to the fortress and is 2 km from Niš train station* - village atmosphere locally with fresh markets, convenience stores and bakeries all around. The host is really friendly and helpful and will detail for you what to see in Niš. A towel and a locker provided along with a proximity key for the front door. The hostel is spacious and homely. The lounge has Cable TV and a computer, the dining room has a large fridge and the kitchenette for your use includes free coffee and tea. Even the dorm has Satellite TV. There is a balcony running the length of the property for the smokers. I came for 1 night but stayed for 3! It was very good value in April 2019. ..When heading south, there is no need to return to Niš main station because the train to Dimitrovgrad stops just around the corner at Palilulska...
Read moreI was standing here for 5 nights and used the time for preparing for an job interview. There have been enough free silent places for me in the hostel to do that. Also the owner Ivan organised an empty guest room for me for for online job interview itself. Also he and his wife have been so kind to ask an friend of them to repair my broken headphones for me for free. I was so happy after, you can't imagine. I got a great and very welcoming service there. The rooms have been all tidy up and clean, the volunteers are lovely, the atmosphere is good and I really like the style of the hostel. And the WiFi is really good.
The hostel might be not in the city centre, but you can easily walk and be there in a few minutes.
Around the hostel are fruit and vegetables stalls, a pharmacy, a supermarket, busstation and a saloon.
So altogether I can really recommend you this place for a...
