We spent two very comfortable and affordable nights at Prenociste Guest Accommodation Linda in Nis.||||The hotel is quite modern, and located on the north side of the Nisava River, about a 30 minute walk to the Fortress. There are frequent buses into town, and it would be about a 5 minute taxi ride. A taxi from the train or bus station (not located in the same spot as one another) is less than 10 minutes by taxi, however Bobo at the hotel picked us up for free from the bus station, which was a nice gesture.||||Our room was fairly spacious, with a fridge, and a nice ensuite with hot shower. There's also a TV with plenty of English channels, although our remote didn't work. Wifi was fine. The bed was nice and comfy, and a real double, not 2 twins pushed together. I asked for a room with a nice view, and we were accordingly given a room on the 3rd floor. The view was very nice, and made up for the lack of a lift. Thankfully Bobo helped us with our bags. ||||The breakfast in the adjacent restaurant was basic but good enough. The restaurant is ostensibly open until 11 pm, although we arrived one evening around 10:30 and got the impression we were pushing it a bit. The food was nice, but the menu is all in Serbian, and the wait staff didn't speak much English. We got there, however & enjoyed a nice meal.||||There are a few other restaurants and shops within a 10 minute walk from the hotel.||||Overall, a good, comfy budget choice, if a little far from the main...
Read moreLong drive to Greece vacation so we decided to stop overnight at Hotel Linda, checking reviews online and this place is just great. We are a young couple with one child, traveling with another family and when we got to the hotel around 11pm. The staff were very nice and the rooms are cozy. We stayed the night before our trip to Greece and stopped over after out trip 2. Both stays were just comfy and great! ||The parking was tricky at first since that was our first time, but there are lots of parking space across the place so not an issue. I had a good sleep before the long drive the next day! Thank you Hotel Linda for taking care of us. Will definitely stay again for our future trips and will recommend to all our...
Read moreWhen you enter the Prenociste Linda, you will probably be greated by the owner, Boyan. After staying here once before I was greated as an old friend. It was a warm evening when I arrived and Boyan had placed a table and chairs on the terrace under the shade of a tree along with chilled Serbian beer, all ready to calm the weary traveller.||Once refreshed the hotel had prepared a typical Serbian meal along with more chilled beer.||Well worth a stop over for either one night or longer to discover the town and it's history. This is where Constantine the Great was born among...
