HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AT K HOTEL 8 — Never AgainWe had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with K Hotel 8. We initially booked through the Trip.com app but decided to cancel just immediately after booking, after reading several alarming reviews about the hotel’s cleanliness — something we take very seriously. Unfortunately, even though our stay was still several weeks away, the hotel refused to allow any cancellation or refund, citing their strict no-cancellation policy.We reached out to Trip.com customer service, and after a long conversation, we were advised to proceed with the stay and report any issues. Sadly, our concerns were proven right on day one.The moment we entered the room, we were hit by a strong, unpleasant smell — a mix of durian (which, ironically, is not allowed in the hotel) and smell of old money. When we inspected the bed, we found yellowish stained pillows and sheets that smelled like saliva, its unbearable to use. The cleaner was hesitant to change the bedding and only did so because we insisted after spotting the stains ourselves.To make matters worse, the front desk even asked us to pay an additional SGD 20 just to move to a room with a window — which they suggested as a solution to “help with the smell.”Despite escalating the issue to Trip.com, K Hotel remained uncooperative and completely inconsiderate about refunding our booking, forcing us to endure the first night. Thankfully, Trip.com offered us some compensation in the form of coins, which we used to book a different hotel because we simply couldn’t stand the unhygienic environment.The location is not for family or couples, as this seem like a red district nearby and there are many creepy bystanders and rumble because there are police who is making action on troublemakers. Scary place for touristsThe walls were peeling, the room smelled awful, and the bedding was filthy. The overall vibe of the place was neglected. Worst of all, the management showed no concern for guest experience, and the management was just as unhelpful.This is by far the worst hotel we have ever stayed at in Singapore. If I could give zero stars, I would. This was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The moment we walked in, there was a horrible smell at the entrance. The bed was dirty and uncomfortable, and to make things worse, it was infested with bed bugs—I ended up with over 30 bites that were red, itchy, and incredibly irritating.The soundproofing was awful. We could hear people talking and walking in the hallways all night long. On top of that, the bathroom was smelly, and the plumbing was a nightmare. Every time someone in another room used the bathroom or flushed the toilet, we could hear loud water noises that didn’t stop until they were done. Even showering was unpleasant because of the constant noise from the pipes.The whole room was filthy. The towels were dirty and basically useless. And to top it off, the receptionist was rude and unhelpful. Honestly, the entire place was a disaster—dirty, noisy, and just not a place anyone should stay. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place completely! I am extremely disappointed with my stay at K Hotel 8. Even my face got a few redness, I strongly urge the management to address these problems immediately. Worst budget hotel, Disappointed. Had book 4 days 3 nights , First day of stay , check in at 6pm++ the staff was not friendly . Done checking in and My room was on 3rd floor.. there’s no lift so need to physically climb up 3rd floor . Firstly ,When I open the room door and steps in the sour smell flew out..ohh my god. I had book “king size” bed room, but get combined single bed and the pillow was old and flattened also can see the previous guest hair inside the pillow cover . No cupboard for clothes to put. When I open the toilet door , the terrible stinky urine smell came out till almost faint . The floor carpet it’s very dirty can’t bear legs and walk becaus it itch my foot till red spots . Lastly the Aircond was not cold wind not strong ,open 18°C but like 26°C and also it’s very old. I had made a complaint and requested to change hotel , they found me a better sister branch hotel but need to pay extra charge $120+ for another 3 days really not worthy compare the price with other budget hotels.
