Hotel Avalanche — Hotel in Štôla

This is a very average hotel and very expensive but the reality in Slovakia. We paid €320 for two nights and half board. The rooms are very basic. Nothing fancy. Beds are fine. Breakfast was disappointing. I felt like we were served the lowest quality of juices lunch meats and bread possible. At least the coffee was actual coffee which is not the case in every hotel in this country. The pool is pretty smiall € the water isn't very clean but my kids still enjoyed it. I would not recommend purchasing half board as the dinner really isn't all that interesting. I would probably look for another place to stay if I were to return to the high tatras area next year. This 3 ⭐ hotel is nice and the pool is a bonus 👍. This hotel is in a good location to go hiking or just holiday in high Tatras . Bus service is just outside on the main road To the mountain or down to the city. We stayed in this hotel at the end of June for a week . We had booked the apartment. The apartment was nice and clean. Just perfect for couples, family to stay. The balcony was nice as well. Nice view of the mountains from the balcony. The food was good as well. The staff were friendly and helpful, you can also order a massage at the hotel we tried. The breakfast was nice as well as dinner and the food in the hotel restaurant generally. Very clean hotel, room was very spacious and generous with a balcony and the bed comfortable. We even had a bathtub in the room. The warderobe was spacious so I give plus points for it :) There is a small wellness with the option to enjoy it in private since you order the place for a specifi timeslot.
