We spent a relax weekend here between Christmas and New Year. Price-quality ratio is excellent, but only because the price is indeed very reasonable. The hotel probably was absolute top 20 years ago, but shows signs of wear today. It would definitely benefit from some upgrading, especially in the wellness zone. This is the main attraction of the hotel, but leaves a lot to be desired for the experienced wellness user. The selection of sauna facilities is extensive, but simply not managed properly. Everybody walks in and out at will, including small children. Most wear swimsuits, some a towel which is distributed at the entrance and only very occasionally someone steps into a shower naked. The temperature in the steam sauna was hardly 30 degrees, which is not a sauna, but just a slightly warm room. While I was sitting in the traditional Finnish sauna someone opened the door and started drilling and beating. The very unique feature of a Rainforest cabin can never work properly because there is a five centimetre wide gap in the door. Also did not find any indications on how to properly use the wellness facilities, at least not in English. Really disappointing, because I absolutely love a good wellness experience. Suggestion: get a real wellness expert to reorganise the facilities, lock it off from the swimming pool, introduce time slots for adults only and naked only, relocate the bar and make sure everything works properly. Other minus points: defective features in the pool zone and beds were not made up after the first night. || Oh, and please also give that poor bearded dragon a bigger terrarium. If you want to hold live animals, then allow them to live in proper conditions. But I do want to end on a positive note. The hotel definitely still has potential and could truly bloom again if some investments are made. Staff was very friendly and helpful, we enjoyed a good massage, the buffet dinners were excellent, rooms are spacious and prices...

We found it clean and tidy though and the facilities very good.|The boys had full access to the spa which had an inside pool and various heated mini pools. Outside there are two large hot tubs, sheltered seating areas and a further outside pool and sun loungers. |Breakfast a buffet and was plentiful, cold and hot options with pastries. Some odd choices but as expected really.|The staff generally do what they need to is the best description. The locals don't care much for the English and speak little of it but then our Slovak is poor too! We did however have a brilliant young waiter look after us for our stay who lived in london for a time and he made us very welcome. He very much made up for the local dis-interest in us!|Our room was a suite with the lounge sofa bed for the boys. It's s bit tight but comfortable, the AC however was terrible . |All in all I'd say a good place to stay for a couple of days if you need to be in the area as there is plenty to keep you and the...
Read moreAWFUL... ! I am a well travelled person and have stayed in many hotels over the years and mostly get what I would expect based upon the description and hotel rating... I should state first of all that I have never written a review before following a stay at any hotel, until now. This is by far the worst hotel that I have ever stayed at, so bad that I checked out and found another hotel. The hotel is in much need of attention, mostly in regard to staff who are beyond miserable and bad mannered. We had no room clean, no fresh towels and no hot water... if you like to stay up past 10pm be prepared to grab a taxi and go out, or, sit in your room as the bar closes at 10pm. Also, when the bar is open, they were short of their already limited stock, and without Ice! I can’t comment on the food as I didn’t dare try it! This was in no way value fore money, we in fact checked into a 5* hotel in Bratislava and had an executive suite with breakfast included, for the same price! Thank god we checked out of this dump as we had a very pleasant end to our trip! Despite the miserable experience and inconvenience caused to us, the hotel has since emailed us to chase us for 1 Euro for a bottle of water consumed in the room...!! What a joke! I think a refund to us would be more...
