Congress Hotel Roca Kosice — Hotel in Košice

I stayed in this hotel last week (September 2019) checking in in the evening of a weekday. ||The hotel is beautifully presented once inside, the hotel is a budget hotel however having said that the hotel has many luxuries with this. ||The hotel is very modern, staff are very friendly and professional and well presented, looking smart and sophisticated. ||Bikes are available for free hire to use, as is a 10% discount on their restaurant. ||I was most surprised and impressed to see top designer “l’ocitaine” hand wash and shower gel in the room. |I was also pleasantly surprised to see that there was a focus on the environment with tissue being 100% recycled paper and no wasteful mini bottles of anything in the bathroom. The only thing I didn’t like was single use plastic cups in the bathroom and a washable plastic glass would have been better. ||All the rooms have showers as you would expect for a budget hotel, the comment about sink in the bedroom is one I didn’t quite understand until I visited. |It doesn’t seem to important until you realise it’s practicality, when the desk is covered in water in the bedroom, which is easily done. However without the sink in the bedroom the bathrooms would look very cramped and as they are they look spacious, so I can see why they have done this. ||This hotel left a good impression and I wouldn’t think twice about staying here again. |I used this hotel as a airport hotel and for this purpose...

We stayed two nights in the hotel and it was good.

The hotel is not far away from downtown, max 10 minutes far away by car.

The staff was friendly and helpful.

The room was clean, modern and the bed was comfortable. There is a variety of breakfasts to choose from, they have both hot and cold food (fried eggs, scrambled eggs, sausages, various types of bread, rolls, cheese, cold cuts, salads, sweets, yoghurts, etc.), I really loved the spicy options too. You can choose a variety of chilli sauce and powder.

However I had some little problem, not big, but I was similar hotels, so I can only give 4 stars. There wasn't a fridge in the room. I don't care the minibars, they have a bar near the reception , but if you are staying for several days, it would be good if you can put what you buy in a fridge. You can ask the receptionists to put them away, but this is inconvenient because you might need some of the things you bought later. The faucet in the room is weird, if I have to go to the bathroom at night, I have to make noise after with the faucet in the room. The room echoes, plus you can hear quite a bit of other guests through it. Unfortunately the restaurant was not open.

We spent 1night in Roca. From the begenning: Parking is free. Staff is very, very nice. Cold beer is avalible:) also other beverages and snacks (chips, waffers etc). Room...oh! It was dirty room...sink isnt in bathroom, its in main room (its not mistake;)). There was very noise from the street. Floor was dirty, there was dust everywhere...nobody clean some places and corners for a long time! Sheets were very old, destroyed, ugly! Breakfast was the most funny. We were there for about 30-40minutes. Nobody complements food and bevereges. Can you believe? If cheese or juice finished that was finish:) thats all. Only bread was complements. UGLY sausages, RAW fired eggs!!!! strange omlette. Somebody made new kind of omlette and probably thinks that is very smart and clever...no! Its not like that dear kitchen chef! You know NOTHING about coocking. NOTHING. Floor manager did nothing for all the time, just some stupid things. Crazy hotel:) if I will be boss there I will make Hirioshima!
