Stefanshof — Hotel in Kremnica

Where do I begin? In this case, I will start with our hosts, as it is they who make Penzion Stafanshof stand out after three weeks of traveling throughout Slovakia. We were welcomed at the door by Eva, the epitome of hospitality, enthusiasm, and good humor. Immediately we knew that we had found a gem. She took us through the common rooms, which are uniquely decorated and incredibly homey, to a room that made us wish that we had booked a longer stay. It was more than clean and comfortable; it was warm and inviting, just like Eva.||||When we returned after a day of exploring, too late to find a restaurant that was open, Georg, Eva's husband, suggested that Eva cook us dinner. What wonderful home cooking! With very little notice, she prepared bryndzové halušky, a delicious braised meat dish, and perfect red cabbage. I'm a good cook, so trust me when I say that this was a delicious and satisfying dinner. Georg offered us an aperitif. Practically a non-drinker, I confess it went to my head, and I must have driven them crazy with my chatter! ||||If ever you have a chance to travel to or through Kremnica, stay at Penzion Stefanshof. I know that this will not be our last stay (only next time, I'll lay off...

We spent 3 nights at this nice hotel. Here are my notices:||||- Very helpful and nice staff lady||- Clean rooms||- Very nice equipment of common rooms and interesting decoration used. I really felt comfortable here.||- Large backyard area with horses, dogs, pool, little pond - enough space for some activities.||- Nice wellness room with sauna - no problem to book it for one hour for you and your family.||- There were always little sweets and mineral water available in the comon room.||- Free parking - no problem.||- No lunch or dinner or bar - only breakfast is served, but for us it was no discomfort.||- Some of furniture in the room would already need small renovations - but nothing disturbing or so...||- We used to eat at restaurant Silvanus in the city centre every day.||- During our stay the night temperatures reached -25 degrees, but we did not notice anything in the room - the heating worked perfect!||||In sum: Our impression was VERY positive and I honestly recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to spend some time...

Me and my partner absolutely loved everything about this perfect Penzion. The hosts are friendly,warm and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and there was a well equipped, comfortable room with kitchenette waiting for us. Spectacular views of the Kremnica hills. The decor is tasteful and the building indoor and out is finished to a very high standard.||Lovely thoughtful touches everywhere like the local liqour Slivovice and water available. There are many books and leaflets adorning the place with nice communal places to relax. An added bonus of a small pool and sauna and beautiful garden and terrace. Highly recommended. The proof being we have booked to stay again ...
