Hotel Karpatský dvor — Hotel in Lozorno

We recently stayed at this hotel as we were attending a wedding at another (the only other) hotel in town. Lozorno is not big and not an obvious place for a holiday but if something brings you to town this is a good place to stay. ||||I had thought that this would be rather corporate but in reality the hotel has a welcoming and friendly feel. The receptionist by day was particularly warm and helpful.||||The rooms and communal areas are clean and bright and there is a nice seating area outside where you can eat meals. The rooms have AC which is handy at this time of year. There was also a safe but unfortunately it didn't work. given that this felt like a very safe town it wasn't a problem and we were offered a change of rooms which we didn't accept as it seemed too much bother.||||The breakfast selection is pretty good, the usual continental fare with some hot options. Apparently the bar area only opens after 6pm, or thats what someone told me.||||The lovely receptionist was also very accommodating to us arriving back rather late and let us have a very flexible check out.||||There was a small swimming pool but unfortunately we didn't have time to...

For the price of 110 EUR per night, I would expect better room equipment. The curtain was torn, hole the size of the palm of your hand, it was impossible to close the shading curtain completely, the window was without an insect net. ||Simple handkerchiefs were missing. No fridge. We had mineral water in the room, but it was the cheapest and not tasty. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom clean. On the other hand the soap, shampoo, and shower gel were also of the lowest quality. The hotel in general seemed clean, the breakfast was decent. Stayed here recently for a big family celebration. The whole place is immaculately clean and well maintained. Spacious rooms, great food and very helpful friendly staff fluent in English and Spanish in addition to Slovak of course ( no doubt many other languages spoken too) The venue is conveniently located 30 mins north by car of Bratislava / an hour from Vienna , located in the heart of Lozorno village. The spa is great, warm pool, quality sun loungers and chairs , jacuzzi and sauna. |Comfortable beds and great plumbing make this a 10/10...
