Massimo house — Hotel in Námestovo

The staff was very friendly. Although they didn't speak any English we managed to get everything settled without any hickups during our whole stay.

A decent breakfast was also included. You have 2 options to choose from in advance.

After arriving in the evening (which was already pretty late) we were able to get a couple of cocktails in our room. After our 6 week road trip in different countries these were like heaven-sent - sooo good. And the price of them - for 2 cocktails we basically paid the same as we pay for 1 cocktail back home. If the restaurant hadn't closed we would have ordered more.

Our room could have used some design related tweaks but in overall it was nice.

The number of possible outlets in the room was quite bad. If you need to charge multiple devices at a time you have to get creative.

Traffic noise starts pretty early in the morning. And just across the street was a rooster who just didn't want to stop crowing. So no late mornings - at least on the street side of...

BE CAREFUL ! This is definitely not a 4 star hotel ! Slovaks must have different hotel scale where there are 10 stars maximum and then this 4 star hotel fits this scale as a 4 star hotel. Room is very close to the road where cars are so loud that you can not sleep all night. Next building to the „hotel” is a place where there is pigeons farm and there is such a odour/stink that you can't stand when the windows are open but there is no air conditioning so in summer you can suffocate or sit in this odour

Apart from these bloody pigeons the are also chickens next to the hotel so another odour plus a rooster crowing from 3:30 in the morning every 10 minutes until around 8-9 am

That’s a 4 star hotel...

I can't believe this is a four-star hotel. There is no parking lot (you have to park 300 meters away at a hospital parking lot), no conference room, no gym, no elevator, and no 24-hour front desk service. All the guest rooms are located on the second floor, with no elevator and narrow stairs. The toilet is broken; you have to press it multiple times, or else the water keeps running. Breakfast is not a buffet; you have to choose a set meal in advance. Since the hotel is located on a sloped main street, the rooms are very noisy, with buses and trucks frequently passing by at...
