We stayed at the Euforia in September 2011, with our group of 6 in 3 rooms. The rooms were all clean and well designed, one of the more modern-looking rooms we found in Slovakia. Bathrooms were also modern and clean. The shower is a little small and tight to turn around in, but it sufficed. There is a nice dining area and an outdoor patio with a great view of the mountains. ||||Dinner was a choice of 2 entrees, with soup and a small dessert (on our night it was chicken paprika or schnitzel). For breakfast, there was a buffet with potato salads, meats, cheeses, cereal and some egg dishes. The buffet was often empty of the dishes as there were only 2 people working the full room, but there was still plenty of food to fill up with. ||||One mild inconvenience is that wi-fi only works in the dining area and patio, not in the rooms, so you have to sit out there with your computer if you need to use the internet. The dining area closes at 10pm so you can't be out there after then. But, you are here to hike, not write emails, right? ||||Nice little spot near...
Read moreEuforia might be a good hotel but someone cheated during its building (and recently maintenance as well). Floors are shabby, there are cracks in walls, mould in wellness centre, towels are really threadbare. Our toilet was leaking and we had to change a room. We could bare it this year but next year would be a question...||Food was OK, sometimes we needed to wait until a buffet breakfast tables were refilled. Dinner was fine, even with a small cake. Just drinks were quite pricey.||Wellness centre was a big dissappointment. Except mould, I found unacceptable to use towels there. They seemed so dirty, like someone had already used them to clean floors... Massage was not pleasant as well - the lady even did not talked to us, just gave a command like "lay down" and that was it... The back massage took 14 (!) minutes.||What is cool is the position with great views on High Tatras. But then? Better expect 2 star accomnodation and you would...
Read moreNikdy viac! Neodporúčam nikomu! Pri príchode na recepciu hotela Eufória, Nová Lesná, o 13.00 hod. nám nezabudla pani na recepcii ako prvé pripomenúť, že check in je o 14.00 hod., vraj to máme v papieroch. Slušne sme uznali jej pripomienku . Tak sme hodinku počkali v ich reštaurácii, nakoľko sme boli po ceste unavení a von pršalo a značne sa ochladilo. Po príchode na izbu sme boli nemilo prekvapení. Izba tmavá, studená a vlhká=pivnica! Po návrate z túry sa nám ani po dvoch dňoch na izbe nepresušili veci (oblečenie, obuv). Keď sme požiadali o vyriešenie danej situácie, kúrenie zapli na krátky čas a radiátor bol len letný počas celého ich "kúrenia". Na druhý deň to isté-zima, vlhko. Vraj prekurujú od 17.00 hod. Keď sa človek vráti z túry premočený, nie je šanca sa zohriať a osušiť v tomto ako píšu novo-zrekonštruovanom hoteli. Strava bola dosť slabá, čo sa týka ponuky. Jediné čo sme obdivovali,bola slečna/pani servírka, ktorá doslova drela bez prestávky už niekoľko dní po sebe. Neustále dbala o dokladanie jedla,objednávala pri stoloch, zbierala riady, upratovala stoly, leštila poháre, príbory....a cez to všetko sa dokázala aj milo usmiať na zákazníkov na rozdiel od ostatného personálu. Pri tejto príležitosti si dovolím vyzdvihnúť externého maséra, ktorý ponúka aj v tomto hoteli svoje služby, ktoré sú na vysokej úrovni. Dokážem uznať, že podnikanie daného typu v dnešnej dobe nie je jednoduché. Ale zavádzanie zákazníkov, to je posledné, čo pomôže prežiť danému majiteľovi/prenajímateľovi. No a po troch dňoch pri odchode z hotela sme na recepcii boli oboznámení s výškou dlžnej sumy za využité služby (masáž, miestny poplatok), ktorú sme vyplatili a slušne poďakovali. Márne sme čakali, že sa nám pri odchode slušne poďakujú za návštevu, prípadne že sa nás opýtajú, či sme bol spokojní, či je všetko OK .... to hovorí za všetko! Naozaj nerozumiem,ako dokážu niektorí hostia pochváliť dané služby v tomto...
