Penzión U dvoch levov — Hotel in Oravský Podzámok

We stayed one night here while visiting the Orava Castle. The location is excellent, just 10 minutes walk to the village and castle ticketing office. We could see the castle from the terrace of our lodging house. The hostess, Ms Karolina, is very helpful and obliging. Our room is small but cosy and comfortable with an enclosed bathroom. It overlooks the lodging house garden. Some rooms do not have attached bathrooms. The guests share a large common sitting area, pantry and outdoor terrace. The hostess and her family stay on the ground floor. We did not have a meal plan but a sumptuous breakfast could be purchased from Ms Karoline for €7.50 per person. All-in-all, a lovely and cosy lodging house run by a friendly and helpful hostess. Great location and view of the case....

We have stayed only one night, so it's limited experience, but I'll say that the place was very clean, room comfortable, breakfast plentiful and very tasty, unlimited very good coffee, and nice view of the castle. We rented the room with the private bathroom, which also had a little fridge to keep our drinks cold. The owners are very friendly, and accommodating. Available for purchase were some snacks, non-alcoholic drinks, also wine. As a suggestion for improvement, I would say creamer for the coffee, in room air-conditioning, and a screen for at least one of the windows would make great addition. We didn't have a problem since it wasn't that hot, but in the middle of summer not be able to open window and enjoy a cool night, and stay insect free would be...
